Morse Telecommunication Releases The Linux Quarterly CD-ROM, Spring 1994

Linux, The Alternative UNIX Now has a Friendlier Face

Long Beach, New York - May 12, 1994 - Morse Telecommunication is pleased to
announce the Spring 1994 edition of The Linux Quarterly CD-ROM, one of the
most popular and friendly Linux CD-ROMs currently available.

Published every three months, this CD-ROM contains over 600 megabytes of
Linux binaries and source code arranged for convenient reference and
usage. The Spring edition includes the Linux kernel version 1.0 and beta
kernels through 1.1.12, updated versions of the popular SLS and Slackware
versions of Linux, XFree86 version 2.1.1 and, for the first time, a
Microsoft Window user interface designed to simplify the initial
installation.

This interface program allows the user to create the proper boot disks for
their particular hardware in order to install the operating system
directly from the CD-ROM after booting these disks. Additionally, a
convenient search button has been added to the program to allow the user
to scan the available documentation via keyword. Such functionality allows
the user to quickly obtain information on a particular topic without
having to manually search the extensive documentation provided.

"We're very excited about the Spring Linux Quarterly CD-ROM," said Michael
Johnston, President of Morse Telecommunication, Inc. "For the first time,
users don't have to grope through tons of documentation just to get Linux
installed on their machines. With the addition of the UMSDOS filesystem
support, it's not even necessary to repartition your machine. Just install
Linux straight to your DOS partition."

The suggested retail price of this CD-ROM is $29.95. Current customers can
upgrade for $22.95 and annual subscriptions are $79.95. For beginning to
advanced UNIX users, this CD-ROM contains everything needed to turn your
personal computer into a powerful Internet capable personal UNIX
workstation.
