CNC Software Announces Release of Mold Base Automation Software for
Mastercam Users

May 1, 1994 -- TOLLAND, CT -- The latest CAD/CAM productivity solution from
CNC Software, Mastercam Moldbase, is now available. Moldbase, an add-on to
CNC Software's DOS-based Mastercam Mill, offers mold makers an alternative
to tedious mold base by providing an easy, step-by-step guide through mold
base definition. Component locations, associated operations, mold
materials and tools are defined quickly from a series of menus. The
software automatically generates 3-D plate geometry, optimized toolpaths,
operation sheets and a tool list.

Mastercam Moldbase allows complete association between similar components
and operations. Changes made to any item will automatically be made in all
associated items, eliminating repetitive redefinition. Toolpaths can be
edited at all stages of mold base definition, and edits are automatically
made to associated items.

Mastercam Moldbase includes extensive libraries for components, operations,
materials and tools. All libraries can be easily edited to include any
shop's standard tools and operations.

Mastercam Moldbase is the latest addition to CNC Software's family of
CAD/CAM solutions for 2- through 5-axis milling, lathes, 2- and 4-axis
wire EDM, sheet metal punching and fabrication, plasma cutting, lasers, 3D
design and drafting.

Mastercam Mill and Mastercam Moldbase Version 5, due for release sometime
this summer, will be Microsoft Windows and Windows NT based products,
providing all the benefits of Windows GUI-interface.
