ARTISOFT LICENSES MICROSOFT PROTOCOLS FOR INTEROPERABILITY OF NETWORKS

Licenses Microsoft Protocols for LANtastic v6.0 Network

(TUCSON, AZ - April 25, 1994) - Artisoft, Inc. announced today that it has
licensed NetBEUI transport layer protocols from Microsoft Corporation and
intends to provide these free of cost to all users of the LANtastic v6.0
network to enable connectivity to Microsoft networks.

"By providing these protocols with the LANtastic v6.0 network operating
system, we make it easy for the user to seamlessly connect to leading
network servers such as Microsoft's Windows NT and IBM's LAN Server, as
well as connectivity to the Windows for Workgroups network," said
Artisoft's Vice President of Engineering Sunil Padiyar.

Joel Davis, Artisoft's Vice President of Sales and Support, said, "This is
another great reason for users of prior versions of the LANtastic network
to upgrade now to version 6.0."

The licensing of these NetBEUI protocols complements Artisoft's
state-of-the-art universal client technology by providing LANtastic v6.0
network users with access to Server Message Block (SMB)-based systems for
file and print services. With the addition of these protocols, Artisoft's
universal client system is one of the leading technologies for providing
the highest level of multiplatform connectivity.

Artisoft also intends to support Microsoft's newest desktop operating
environment, code-named Chicago. The company is actively working with
