Ricoh IVAR Partnership Program Offers Direct Marketing Support for Imaging
Product Resellers

NEW YORK (April 19, 1994) -- Ricoh Corporation is launching a new marketing
support strategy for system integrators (SIs) and value added resellers
(VARs) who focus on the imaging marketplace. The Ricoh IVAR (Imaging VAR)
Partnership Plan, announced at the 1994 AIIM Show, is designed to provide
direct manufacturer support to qualified resellers of Ricoh imaging
equipment.

The IVAR program offers valuable marketing assistance to specialists
focusing on vertical imaging markets. It allows Ricoh customers who
package imaging systems for end-users to enjoy direct manufacturer support
previously available only to major distributors.

Resellers are qualified through a faxed questionnaire or an interview with
a Ricoh marketing representative. No business plan is required for
eligibility--only a simple company profile and an overview of targeted
vertical applications and markets. Information supplied will be regarded
as confidential.

Developers and marketers of operating imaging systems that project more
than $250,000 of business annually in Ricoh peripheral products, including
laser printers, scanners, magneto-optical drives and CD-recordable drives,
will qualify for full participation in the Ricoh IVAR Partnership Program.
Benefits available include hardware training, co-op promotional funds,
reduced pricing on demo units, trade show participation, local event
support and free publicity services.
