Pacific Micro Announces SuperCut a New Utility for Windows Designed for
Quick Assembly of Multimedia and Desktop Publishing Presentations

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif, May 1, 1994 - Pacific Microelectronics today
announced SuperCut, a new Utility program for Windows that enables users
to cut any screen and deposit data in a customized file for reassembly.

SuperCut was designed to be a key utility for the creation of multi-media
and desktop publishing presentations. It also has useful features for
general editing functions across a wide range of applications from word
processing to graphics.

"SuperCut meets a critical need for the development of quick and easy
multi-media and desktop publishing presentations," said Wun C. Chiou,
president of Pacific Micro. "SuperCut will certainly contribute to the
market growth of multi-media and desktop publishing software."

SuperCut will begin shipping May 1, 1994. It is distributed by Merisel and
Tech Data. Super Cut has a suggested retail price of $79.95.

Founded in 1987 Pacific Microelectronics has produced AI applications,
hardware for UNIX workstations, and software for data transfer between
Macintosh, DOS/Windows, and UNIX platforms. Its two interoperability
products, Mac-In-DOS and Common-Link were nominated for annual awards by
the Software Publishers' Association in 1991 and 1992.
