SYSTRAN Corp. Unveils Line of I/O Products With Focus on Customization

Dayton, Ohio, May 5, 1994 - SYSTRAN Corp., developer of the SCRAMNet
Network (a real-time replicated shared-memory system), today announced its
new line of l/O products. SYSTRAN's focus on mass customization will
provide customers with the ability to construct their own specific I/O,
without having to purchase expensive boards that contain more
functionality than they require. Following are highlights of some of the
products available:

* IPack Tool Kit

The IPack Logic Bus Extender, Breakout Board, and Monitor Board products
combine to provide a complete, user-friendly IPack system analysis and
integration tool kit. The Bus Extender installs non-intrusively between
the IPack carrier and the IPack board, while the Breakout Board adds easy
access to the IPack signals. Finally, the Monitor Board and setup disk
provide complete IPack logic analysis capability for HP Logic Analyzers.

* IPack 48 Channel Digital Output Card

The IPack 48 Channel Digital Output Card is a single-wide, general-purpose
discrete output board that provides the user with both hardware/software
control and status options for easy system integration. It features six
byte-wide ports that control low/high impedance states for external busing
applications and a user-configuration switch for defining power-up default
selections.

* IPack 48 Channel Digital Input/Output Card

The IPack 48 Channel Digital Input/Output Card is a single-wide,
general-purpose discrete input/output board that features per byte-lane
selection of direction, single-ended octal versus differential-ended quad,
and low/high impedance states. There is also a generic octal interrupt
engine that is fully maskable and definable.

* SCRAMNet-on-IPack Network Interface Board

The SCRAMNet-on-IPack Network Interface Board is a stand-alone,
full-featured SCRAMNet-LX node with user-selected media interface
circuitry. It is a 32-bit, double-wide card that performs transfers at
16MB/sec and uses all four IPack transfer types: memory, I/O, ID, and four
levels of interrupts.

Located at 4126 Linden Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45432-3068 USA (513-252-5601),
SYSTRAN Corp. specializes in real-time systems simulation and
defense-related hardware/software research and development. The company's
SCRAMNet Network is a leading real-time network, with hundreds of nodes
