New QuarkXPress Book For Windows Covers Both 3.1 and 3.3

April 1994--Berkeley, CA--The QuarkXPress Book, 2nd Edition for Windows is
a major update from the first edition, covering the second release of
QuarkXPress for Windows, version 3.3. An extensive appendix covers the
dozens of new features available for the first time to Windows users with
the release of version 3.3, including new printing, tabulation, page
layout, and color management tools.

Because many Windows users will continue to use release 3.1 (there is no
version 3.2 for Windows), an icon has been inserted throughout the book to
flag the changes found in 3.3. There's also an entire appendix on
EfiColor--a color management system--plus an updated appendix on Mac/PC
file transfers, which has become substantially easier on both platforms in
QuarkXPress 3.3.

Co-author David Blatner's writings on QuarkXPress are legendary. His
previous three QuarkXPress Books for the Mac and one for windows, plus
QuarkXPress 'rips and Tricks, make him the bestselling author ever on the
subject. Blatner also co-authored Real World Scanning and Halftones,
Silicon Mirage: The Art and Science of Virtual Reality, and Desktop
Publisher's Survival Kit. He lectures widely on QuarkXPress and desktop
publishing, and resides in Seattle. Co-author Bob Weibel, who lives in
Ashland, Oregon, was a senior technical editor of Publish magazine, and is
a freelance author and consultant whose work frequently appears the
computer press.
