Apple Computer, Inc. Settles Urbanski Case; Discovery Errors Result in
Settlement of RSI Suit

HASTINGS, Minnesota--February 27, 1995--Apple Computer, Inc. announced
today that it has settled the Urbanski matter pending in the Minnesota
State District Court, Hastings, Minn. The case involved alleged injuries
as a result of use of various computer products.

Apple said the settlement was prompted by discovery errors by Apple's
outside counsel. As a result of these errors, the case was settled at no
cost to Apple and with no jury determination on the merits as to
liability.

The amount of the settlement remains confidential.

"It is unfortunate that these discovery errors necessitated settlement. The
case was in trial and had been progressing favorably from our standpoint
with regard to both Apple and our co-defendant IBM, who remains in the
case. The alternative to settlement was court imposed sanctions for
attorney error. Apple will continue to vigorously defend lawsuits related
to Repetitive Stress Injuries (RSI)," said Michael Assad, Apple's senior
counsel.
