Blueridge Ports Optix Server to IBM RS/6000

Flint Hill, VA ---March 7, 1995--Blueridge Technologies announces that the
Optix Network Document Management System now supports the complete line of
RISC-based RS/6000 servers from IBM Corporation, running the AIX (UNIX)
operating system. The RS/6000 joins the growing family of UNIX servers
supported by Optix, including the SPARCserver line from Sun Microsystems
(running Solaris), and the Apple Workgroup Servers from Apple Computer
(running A/UX).

In 1994 Optix became the first complete electronic document management
system to offer workflow, document imaging, archival/retrieval, and
natural language text search for both Macintosh and Windows-based clients.
With the addition of IBM's RS/6000 as a server platform, Optix becomes one
of the most scalable solutions in the document management industry. With
IBM servers, Optix can now provide a cost-effective solution for
everything from a workgroup system running on an entry-level server, to an
enterprise-wide application running on a top of the line RS/6000 server,
with multiple RISC processors and mainframe performance.

By porting to the IBM platform, Blueridge continues it's policy of
supporting off-the-shelf, industry- standard hardware platforms, so that
our clients can implement document management systems on platforms that
they already own and support.

Available in May, an Optix Network System with an IBM RS/6000 server will
begin at $150,000 and include server software, client software for both
Macintosh and Windows-based PC's, installation, training, and support.
