SAN JOSE, Calif. - April 24, 1995--Accolade, a leading developer and
publisher of interactive entertainment software, today announced Super
Bubsy for Windows 95. Developed by ATI Technologies Inc. of Toronto,
Canada, Super Bubsy for Windows 95 is the first fast action side-scrolling
game for the Microsoft Windows 95 Operating System. It takes full
advantage of Microsoft's advanced game technology in Windows 95,
empowering Bubsy to fluidly run 4-10 times faster (60 full-screen updates
per second compared to most Windows-based games, which run 6-15 per
second) than any other MS-DOS-based or Windows-based action game. Super
Bubsy for Windows 95 is based on the award winning video game, Bubsy in:
Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind. It is scheduled to release for PC
CD-ROM computers in August, coinciding with the scheduled release of
Windows 95.

Just insert the CD into the drive and Super Bubsy is off and running.
Bubsy's a bobcat with an attitude, hoarding the world's supply of yarn. A
wonderful affinity to have since Woolies, from the planet Rayon, have been
sent to Earth to steal yarnballs to sustain their civilization. Those
Woolies weren't prepared to deal with Bubsy.

One or two players at a time lead Bubsy on his crusade to save Earth. Bubsy
will adventure through six worlds, each containing three chapters, before
the final show down against the big Woolie mother ship. Along the way
Bubsy will be bombarded with falling rocks and eggs, rolling manhole
covers and cheese wheels, and projectile gumballs.

In addition to the super speed, Super Bubsy offers a full 256 color palette
displayed in high-resolution (640x480) graphics. Listen for Bubsy as he
mouths-off more than 50 wise cracking and smart aleck digitized phrases
and animates a variety different actions.

"We're excited that Accolade has taken such effective advantage of the Game
SDK with Super Bubsy for Windows 95," said Brad Silverberg, senior vice
president of the personal systems division at Microsoft. "Super Bubsy is a
compelling example of the technology now available for game developers."

"This fast action PC game offers gamers incredible speed, something found
previously only on a video game machine," said Karen Safran, Accolade's
senior product marketing manager. "Super Bubsy rewards gamers with a
joyful non-violent game that's 100% pure entertainment. This is definitely
a game worth checking out."

"We're combining the latest graphics technology with the proven audience
appeal of the Bubsy character and bringing it all to Windows 95," said Ken
Nicholson, director, ATI interactive! division. "Many people thought this
sort of game wasn't possible for Windows. They'll believe otherwise when
they play this game."

Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind enjoyed much success when it
first released in 1993 for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo
Entertainment System video game machines. Riding high on this popularity,
Bubsy walked in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the following day
hosted his very own animated television special, "What Could Possibly Go
Wrong?". Bubsy was quickly embraced by parents looking for a non-violent
video game and consequently was honored with a Parents' Choice Award.
