Apple Reduces Prices on Developer University Self-Paced Training Products

CUPERTINO, California--May 2, 1995--Apple Computer Inc. today announced
that it has reduced prices--by 30% or more--on all of its Developer
University self-paced training products. These computer-based self-paced
courses--which have set an industry standard for thorough, innovative
learning environments--provide a fast, cost-effective way to begin or
extend software development efforts for Apple Macintosh and Mac-compatible
computers running the Mac OS. The self-paced training products are used by
programmers in corporate IS departments, as well as developers of
commercial and educational software.

"Apple's Power Macintosh computers and new software technologies have
sparked increased interest in developing on the Apple platform," said
Shirley Stas, director of Apple Developer Support. "We want to ensure that
price is not a barrier to a developer who is starting on the development
path. Our Macintosh Programming Fundamentals and Intermediate Macintosh
Application Programming self-paced courses alone give a developer close to
120 hours of training at a fraction of traditional classroom costs. This
new price structure for our self-paced courses reflects our continuing
interest in supporting the developer community."

Apple's Developer University also has added a new self-paced tutorial to
its course offering--Intermediate Programming: 7.5 Topics--which is a
workbook-based tutorial that assists programmers in extending their
applications to include the new capabilities of Macintosh System 7.5, the
most recent version of the Mac OS.

Developer University also offers more than twenty classroom courses
covering a complete range of development topics, including Newton,
multimedia, OpenDoc, and frameworks, through its facilities in Cupertino,
California and selected field-training locations, on an on-site basis and
through international training events.
