CE Software and MPACT Immedia Provide Free Wide Area Network Connectivity
Software to all QuickMail Users

Delivering WAN Connectivity Between QuickMail Sites Worldwide

West Des Moines, Iowa, April 20, 1995 -- As part of an on-going effort to
further expand QuickMail's Wide Area Network (WAN) capabilities, CE
Software and MPACT Immedia today announced QuickMail WAN software will be
included in every package of CE Software's QuickMail E-mail solution at no
additional charge. With the QuickMail WAN gateway, users have a simple,
cost effective WAN Solution that connects E-mail sites throughout the
world.

"The QuickMail WAN solution was designed to meet the needs of customers who
want to use QuickMail as their main communication tool between multiple
locations," said Ford Goodman, president and CEO of CE Software.
"QuickMail WAN provides seamless connectivity between offices that use
QuickMail and other messaging systems. Now customers can connect wit h
satellite offices, partners, or clients at domestic and international
locations and experience greater savings than ever before."

Wide Area Corporate Network

The QuickMail WAN gateway provides users with a critical link between
multiple sites and creates a flexible wide area corporate network for
large and small businesses alike. The person responsible for managing the
Local Area Network (LAN) simply configures the QuickMail Server to
periodically place a call (via a standard modem) into MPACT Immedia's
INTERCONNEXIONS Value-Added Network Service (the common store and forward
mechanism). Once connected, users have the ability to send and receive
messages between 1,200 cities worldwide.

The QuickMail WAN solution delivers increased reliability and convenience
extending QuickMail connectivity. With a local phone call, messages can be
sent and received between QuickMail networks, other LAN-based and
Host-based messaging systems, X.400 networks, the Internet, and more. It
also provides message and enclosure compression for maximized speed and
performance.

Store and Forward Connectivity

The QuickMail Server places an outbound call to the INTERCONNEXIONS Server
to upload and download messages in the queue. The messages are then sent
to the appropriate destination when each site's server dials in to
retrieve messages. Not only is QuickMail WAN more robust than
point-to-point communications, it also delivers users cost savings when
compared to making long-distance calls both domestically and
internationally.

"As businesses grow and branch offices continue to spring up, customers
need an efficient, cost-effective means of keeping the organization
connected," said Goodman. "Whether customers have offices in New York, Los
Angeles, Paris, or Guam...QuickMail WAN is a compelling wide area
solution."

Pricing and Availability

The QuickMail WAN software and a coupon waiving the $50 one time
subscription fee for the INTERCONNEXIONS Value-Added Network Service is
included in every QuickMail package. Users pay only 4 per KiloCharacter
(1000 characters), approximately the length of one E-mail message,
transmitted in the continental United States (prices may vary). Outside
