BENEFITS TO CONSUMERS & BUSINESSES

For Internet enthusiasts, and for the millions of members who access the
CompuServe Information Service through 3.1 million active, paying
accounts, 28.8 kbps dial access delivers more information at a lower
overall cost. Benefits include faster Internet file downloads, faster
World Wide Web access, the ability to receive on-line music, graphics and
video, and increased software distribution capabilities across
CompuServe's secure network.

For CompuServe's 750 corporate customers, 28.8 kbps dial access will
greatly enhance performance for all of CompuServe's dial- based Network
Services for business, including a full range of Internet access and IP
dial solutions, CompuServe RLA (remote LAN access); Enterprise Connect(SM)
for Lotus(R) Notes(R) (private replication service) and the World Wide Web
(end-to-end managed, web integration service); and End-User Services,
where CompuServe handles the billing and receivables for a company's base
of dial-access users.

"Demand for CompuServe's business network services, the CompuServe
Information Service and Internet access and software continues to grow at
a furious pace," said Robert J. Massey, executive vice president, Network
Services Division.

"We're proud to respond with such dynamic enhancements to our global data
network resources," he added, "and we've set out to accomplish two
tremendous goals by May 1996: offering universal 28.8 kbps local dial
access, and more than doubling our current number of global network dial
ports, all of which are PPP-enabled, to well over 85,000."

The global CompuServe Network boasts over 420 Points of Presence (POPs)
with more than 42,000 dial access ports. Well over 200 cities around the
world currently support 14.4 kbps dial access. In North America alone,
11,750+ communities enjoy local access to the CompuServe Network, either
through direct CompuServe presence or through arrangements with
third-party service providers.

CompuServe's Network Services Division, with almost 30 sales and support
offices throughout the United States and Europe, provides value-added
frame relay, remote LAN access, Lotus Notes-based replication services,
commercial Internet software and access services, Web integration
services, X.25 services and electronic mail to major corporations and
