Working Relationship

today announced that the company is providing a limited number of Dell
systems pre-loaded with an evaluation copy of Microsoft Windows 95,
Microsoft's next-generation operating system. The announcement highlights
Dell and Microsoft's close working relationship and Dell's commitment to

"The Dell evaluation platform for Microsoft Windows 95 will allow some Dell
customers the opportunity to preview Windows 95 before its official
release," said Sue King, director of software development at Dell. "This
offering will allow Dell and a group of interested customers to experience
Windows 95 in a controlled, limited environment, before the large scale
launch of Windows 95 which is expected later this year. Dell is committed
to providing industry leading support for Windows 95 and this evaluation
program will provide Dell with valuable technical support experience that
will translate into higher quality support for Dell customers."

Upon official release from Microsoft, Windows 95 will be offered across
Dell's Plug and Play-ready desktop and notebook products and will also be
the default operating system available on all of Dell's desktop and
notebook lines. All Dell desktop systems announced after September 1, 1994
comply with the industry standard Plug and Play guidelines outlined in
Microsoft's Hardware Design Guide for Windows 95, making Dell systems an
