DELL NAMED TO 1995 GSA SCHEDULE

Company Again Reaches Number One PC Manufacturer on GSA Schedule, Offers
120 Megahertz Pentium to GSA

Austin, Texas, May 9, 1995 -- Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:DELL), the
number one PC manufacturer in sales volume on the federal government's GSA
schedule for 1994, today announced it has received its GSA contract,
number GS00K-95-AGS-5104, effective from April 1, 1995 through March 31,
1996. Dell's GSA contract was awarded eleven days early, one of many
indicators that GSA is successfully reinventing the Schedule process and
furthering its partnership with industry. Dell's GSA schedule is also
offered by Pulsar Data Systems and I-NET.

Dell also announced that it has begun offering Intel's latest processor,
the 120 megahertz (MHz) Pentium processor, on the GSA schedule, further
strengthening Dell's Pentium leadership position.

"Customers in the federal marketplace increasingly are looking for
convenient ways to obtain the latest technologies," said Theresa Garza,
Dell's vice president of federal sales. "Our direct, build-to-order
business model -- particularly when combined with our federal integrator
relationships -- enables our federal customers to transition to
technologies such as the latest Pentium processors more quickly, easily
and affordably."

As an expansion of its successful federal sales and marketing program, Dell
recently announced the availability of a dedicated federal home page on
its Worldwide Web site (http://www.dell.com/prodinfo/federal), providing
federal customers with easy access to product, pricing and technical
information. As customers have begun to rely more and more on electronic
services such as the Internet for technical and product information, Dell
has developed this and a number of other unique electronic capabilities
designed to simplify the process of obtaining company information.

For example, Dell has designed an electronic GSA price list exclusively for
federal customers. This on-line pricing and system configuration tool
price list allows customers to quickly obtain up-to-date information on
Dell systems on the GSA schedule from their desktop. The price list also
allows customers to get prices on specific configurations without having
to page through an entire price list, further simplifying the purchasing
process.

A Fortune Global 500 company, Dell Computer Corporation is the world's
leading direct marketer of personal computers and one of the top five PC
manufacturers in the world, based on annual revenues of nearly $3.5
billion. Dell designs, develops, manufactures, markets, services and
supports a complete line of personal computers compatible with industry
standards. An extensive selection of peripherals and software is available
