DELL FIRST TO SHIP SYSTEMS WITH NEW PENTIUM PROCESSOR
-Reduces Dell Dimension XPS P120c Prices By $400

AUSTIN, Texas, April 19, 1995 -- Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL)
today announced that it has begun U.S. shipments of Dell Dimension XPS and
OptiPlex systems based on Intel's new 120-megahertz (MHz) Pentium
processor. Dell believes it is the first company to deliver 120 MHz
Pentium-processor-based systems to customers in volume. The company also
reduced the prices of its 120 MHz Dell Dimension XPS models by $400,
bringing the price of the most popular, full-featured system
configurations to less than $3,000.

Dell introduced and began limited shipments of the Dell Dimension XPS P120c
and Dell OptiPlex X5120 models late last month. "All reports indicate that
we are the first manufacturer to achieve volume shipments of systems based
on this new processor," said Doug MacGregor, Dell's vice president,
Dimension. "Our low-inventory, build-to-order business model has again
enabled us to lead the industry's transition to a new mainstream
technology." Mr. MacGregor added that other companies offering PCs with
the new 120 MHz processor are quoting delivery dates of up to 30 days
after receipt of order.

"Many power-hungry PC users are interested in getting the fastest Pentium
processor on the market. We are pleased that Dell is able to deliver 120
MHz systems to these customers so quickly after the new processor's
introduction," said Carl Everett, senior vice president and general
manager of Intel Corporation's Microprocessor Products Group.

In a related move, Dell reduced prices on 120 MHz Dell Dimension XPS
systems by $400. For example, a Dell Dimension XPS P120c minitower system
configured with 256-kilobytes of fast "pipeline burst" SRAM cache,
16-megabytes of EDO (extended data out) memory, a 1.0-gigabyte Mode 4 PIO
hard disk drive, a 15-inch monitor, two megabytes of video DRAM, a 64-bit
PCI local bus video card, a quad-speed CD-ROM drive, a mouse and
pre-installed Microsoft Windows 3.1 operating system software is $2,999.

A Global 500 company, Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL) designs,
develops, manufactures, markets, services and supports a complete line of
personal computers compatible with industry standards. With annual
revenues of nearly $3.5 billion, Dell is the world's leading direct
