WESTBOROUGH, Mass., May 15, 1995 -- HyperDesk Corporation today announced
the shipment of GroupWorks, the award-winning groupware product, complete
with a 30-day access offer for users of the Internet. By downloading
GroupWorks for free from the HyperDesk's home page on the World Wide Web
(http://www.hyperdesk.com), 30 million Internet users will have the
opportunity to experience the interactive power of the industry's first
"personal groupware" product.

Fitting seamlessly into virtually any environment where teamwork is
essential to productivity, GroupWorks dynamically links users regardless
of existing applications, responsibilities and work habits. It allows
users to do so while also retaining their own work tools. Like the
Internet, GroupWorks utilizes a peer-to-peer architecture, enabling anyone
with a computer to immediately form or join a work group, without MIS
assistance and without a dedicated server.

GroupWorks dynamically lets users create ad hoc workgroups for small or
large, long- or short-term projects. Each user installs GroupWorks in
minutes and is then free to create projects. The project owner adds
project team members and defines important milestones. All project team
members can instantly open and work on the project, assigning and
negotiating tasks, calling meetings, exchanging ideas through online
discussions, and sharing relevant project contacts names.

As tasks and meetings are published, each user receives notifications which
they can accept or decline. All accepted tasks and meetings are
automatically added to their personal work area, "MyWork," which allows
them to track all of their responsibilities across all of their projects.
Each individual can continue to work on distinct parts of projects using
preferred applications and work methods. At the same time, they can
interact cooperatively through GroupWorks to coordinate all activities.

GroupWorks has a suggested list price of $299. Users can provide copies of
GroupWorks to colleagues under a 30-day license to allow other users to
test its capabilities under actual work conditions. Included in every
GroupWorks box is the PassPak*, which contains the GroupWorks disks and
the PassPak edition of the GroupWorks User's Guide. Once the GroupWorks
software is installed on the licensed user's PC, the PassPak can be passed
to co-workers who can install GroupWorks and use it free for 30 days.

Users can upgrade immediately to a full GroupWorks license simply by
calling HyperDesk on its dedicated line 1-800-TEAMWRK (1-800-832-6975).

GroupWorks runs on virtually any PC LAN, supports Novell IPX, Winsock
compatible TCP/IP, Windows for Workgroups and other NetBIOS compatible
networks. The software requires at least a 386/25Mhz with 4 MB of RAM and
10 MB available disk space, running Windows 3.1 and DOS 5.0 or higher.

Founded in 1990, HyperDesk Corporation is a developer and marketer of
personal groupware and workgroup management software such as GroupWorks,
the first "personal groupware" software that works the way groups work.
