IKON ANNOUNCES HARDCOPY INTERFACE FOR PCI BUS

April 19, 1995 -- IKON Corporation of Seattle, Washington, is pleased to
announce the latest addition to its family of Hardcopy Interfaces for PCs
and engineering workstations: the Model 10115 for the PCI Bus. This board,
like those for Multibus I, VMEbus, ISA, EISA, MicroChannel and SBus,
features connectivity for any Versatec (XES) or Centronics compatible
plotter or printer; both TTL and differential VPI interfaces are provided.
The 10115 also supports IEEE P1284-compatible devices (ECP mode).

The 10115 is a full size form factor conforming to the PCI Bus
specification. It has 16K bytes of on-board FIFO and supports slave bursts
to the FIFO at a short term burst rate of 132M bytes/second. The long-term
burst rate is 30-40M bytes/second. The board uses PCI interrupt A and will
support DMA chaining.

On the device side, the 10115 has a transfer rate of approximately 2M
bytes/second allowing high performance plotters and printers to be run at
their full rated speed, an important feature for electrostatic machines.
Devices from many manufacturers may be used with the 10115, including:
XES, Iris Graphics, CalComp, Imagen, Tektronix, Veritas Seismic, Atlantek,
Oyo and others.

Outgoing data and control lines are driven by high-drive bipolar devices.
Cable receivers are true Schmitt triggers with R/C integration for maximum
noise rejection. The Centronics connector terminations are socketed,
allowing "tuning" of the port for maximum performance. ECP-compatible
devices are also supported by high-speed transfers and reverse channel
transfers.

Single piece pricing for the 10115 is $695, with 100-piece pricing at $615.
The boards carry a full one-year warranty and come with a
Hardware/Software Manual. DOS/Windows/Window NT software device drivers
are included at no additional charge. Boards are available now; evaluation
units are available. Both Versatec and Centronics cables are also
available from shelf stock. All prices are FOB, Seattle, WA, USA.
