NEW LABVIEW OR LABWINDOWS INSTRUMENT DRIVERS TO BE AVAILABLE FOR 78
RF/MICROWAVE INSTRUMENTS

Austin, Texas - April 3, 1995 - National Instruments - The Virtual
Instrumentation Company - has announced LabVIEW and LabWindows instrument
drivers for 78 radio frequency (RF)/microwave GPIB and VXI instruments
from vendors including Anritsu Wiltron, Hewlett-Packard, Wandel &
Goltermann, Rohde&Schwarz, and Tektronix. These drivers reduce test
development time and simplify instrument control by eliminating the need
to learn the complex, low-level programming protocol for each instrument.
National Instruments is also forming relationships with these
industry-leading RF vendors. In February, National Instruments and Anritsu
Wiltron are launching an RF/Microwave seminar in Europe. Through the
Instrument Library Developer Program (ILDP), National Instruments is also
working with Wandel & Goltermann to produce LabVIEW and LabWindows drivers
for their popular telecommunications test equipment.
