Zenith Data Systems goes on-line with new home page on worldwide web and
brings Cannes Film Festival to the Internet

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (May 11, 1995) Zenith Data Systems (ZDS) today
announced that it has gone on-line with a new home page called Z-Connect
on its Worldwide Web Internet site (http://ww.zds.com). The company also
announced that through its new web sever it will extend the reach of the
Cannes Film Festival to Internet users worldwide, enabling them to
download multimedia film clips of some the best movies that are in the
festival. Users can also view fullcolor stills, interviews with festival
participants, schedule of events and other Cannes Festival late-breaking
news and information.

ZDS' Z-Connect provides a fast and easy way for internet users to learn
more about ZDS and its products. Upon accessing ZDS' Internet site,
browsers experience a cyber-magazine. Its easy-to-navigate format provides
a wide-range of information including customer service, product
information and monthly features.

"As an international company, we are very excited about our new presence on
the Internet," said Patrick Dumas, director of new media services for ZDS.
"ZConnect quickly and easily connects internet users worldwide with a wide
variety of information about ZDS."

Cannes Film Festival Comes to the Internet As an official partner of the
1995 Cannes Film Festival, ZDS and its technical software partners have
provided a worldwide web server containing a daily journal of festival
news and views, background information and compressed video clips for net
users with high speed access.

The server can be accessed from May 15 through the end of July 1995 via the
ZDS web server at http://www.zds.com. Updates will be provided daily for
the duration of the festival which runs from May 17 to May 28, 1995.

"This gives millions of Internet users a 'special guest pass' to the color
and excitement of the prestigious Cannes Festival," said Dumas, "We're
really making the connection between the world and this major cultural
event."

ZDS is working with Staccato and international film trade paper Moving
Pictures to provide the daily print journal in French and English. In
addition to worldwide access on the Internet, this journal will be
provided, along with multimedia festival information, on interactive
workstations located at sites in Cannes and other French cities.

Moreover, ZDS will provide the festival with a network of servers, desktop
and portable computers to ensure smooth organization of this high profile
event.

Dumas added: "Hype abounds around multimedia, superhighways and the
Internet. At ZDS, we are determined to develop real world applications to
put them into action.

"The Cannes partnership helps us show customers how this technology
delivers real applications. Dataquest predicts a business multimedia
market of $17.3 million by the year 20001. There is no denying that this
is a growing market. A market which is here to stay," he continued.

The 'Golden Palm' Server (La Palme D'or)

ZDS is working with Softway (a Franco-American software distributor) to
provide the worldwide web server giving the latest news and views from the
festival. The server called the 'Golden Palm' Server (La Palme D'or) can
be accessed from May 15 until the end of July 1995. Updates will be
provided daily for the duration of the festival.

Interactive Workstations

ZDS is working with a number of key partners to broaden distribution of the
festival's daily paper. These include Staccato, the producer and developer
of the COMM CANNES interactive festival journal, leading French television
station Canal+ and the FNAC, a leading French distributor.

In addition to various locations in the Festival Palace, there will be
high-performance interactive workstations in four of the major hotels in
Cannes. Six other workstations in the main FNACs in Paris and Lille will
be connected via a high speed ISDN link.

The interactive workstations are based around the Z-STATION EX Pentium
desktop PC, with partner Sygma Design providing the MPEG decompression
boards. The touch-sensitive screens have been developed around ZDS
monitors in conjunction with Microtouch Systems.

Administrative Network

This network will handle the registration of the 3 5,000 delegates
attending the festival. It will also be used to organize ticketing for the
competing films and to allocate seating for the 11 days of the festival.
The ZDS network is based around the popular Z-SERVER LT running Windows
NT, linked to Z-STAR EX portables and Z-STATION ES desktop systems.
