Auto Parts, are introducing a new level of service to do-it-yourself and
semi-professional auto technicians through the Big A Information Center.
The center, which includes the ALLDATA system, invites Big A customers to
walk up and browse through a full range of Diagnostic and Repair
information. A customized "Big A-version" of the ALLDATA system provides a
streamlined menu and help screens which make it easy for customers to
quickly locate, view (and print) such information as Technical Service
Bulletins, Diagnostic and Repair Procedures and Technical Support
Information.

ALLDATA Corporation is the leading publisher of electronic automotive
repair information. The complete ALLDATA database is available both online
and on CD-ROM. It currently contains well over a million electronic
"pages" of information, covering all domestic and most foreign makes and
models for the years 1982 to the present. The database includes more than
800,000 images and illustrations and is the equivalent of approximately 10
million pages if it were printed as separate manuals for each vehicle, in
conventional repair manual form. A mouse-driven interface provides repair
technicians with instant access to Technical Service Bulletins, Diagnostic
and Repair procedures, Wiring Diagrams, Maintenance Schedules, trouble
code Diagnostic charts, PROM ID updates, Component Test Specifications,
labor rates, part numbers and prices, and warranty and Recall
Information.

The Big A Information Center is part of the new "Total Store Approach"
retail program offered by Big A Auto Parts Stores. This comprehensive
in-store program goes beyond conventional store hardware offerings to
provide what is recognized as an equally important product -information.

customize purchases via computer has been implemented in other retail
markets. However, we believe Big A Auto Parts is the first to do so on
