NEW POWERFUL PC INCORPORATES 133-MHz PENTIUM PROCESSOR

ALR Provides Business Users With Uncompromised Performance

Irvine, CA., June 12, 1995 -- Advanced Logic Research Inc. (ALR)
(NASDAQ:AALR), an industry leader in the design, manufacture, marketing
and support of advanced computer systems, today introduced the Evolution V
ST/133 workstation, a powerful PC that uses Intel's 133 MHz Pentium
processor to provide the power business user with a new level of system
performance.

The Evolution V ST/133 expands the company's already successful Evolution V
ST product family which supports all current Intel Pentium processors
including 75-, 90-, 100- and 120-MHz. Power business users can best
utilize this new system for applications that require a high level of
performance such as desktop publishing; financial analysis and modeling;
CAD/CAM; multimedia authoring; video editing and mapping/simulation
applications.

CPU Performance Enhanced by Intel's 133-MHz Pentium Processor

Powered by Intel's new 133-MHz Pentium processor, the Evolution V ST/133 is
a full featured workstation and offers the maximum CPU performance
available today. By using the ALR-designed motherboards that are
engineered specifically for the new 133-MHz Pentium processor, the
Evolution V ST/133 assures the highest level of performance available. The
Evolution V ST/133 provides up to 36 percent better performance than
systems using the 100-MHz Pentium processors.

"ALR's engineering orientation enables us to design our systems with
flexibility," said Genevieve Ortegon, ALR's vice president of marketing.
"This allows us to incorporate and bring to market quickly the latest
technologies at significant cost savings to users."

Additional Features Include 256-KB "Burst" Cache

The Evolution V ST product family was designed from the onset to make
optimum use of Intel's high-performance Pentium processors. As with all
models in the ST product family, the new Evolution V ST/133 provides a
PCI/ISA bus architecture and 8-MB RAM, expandable to 128-MB. Also standard
on the ST/133 is 256-KB of high-performance "burst" cache. It also
includes the flexibility and expansion of six drive bays and up to nine
expansion slots.

Incorporated into this systemboard is an enhanced Mode 4 dual channel IDE
interface on the PCI local bus that supports up to four high-performance
IDE mass storage peripherals. When combined with the new high-speed EIDE
drives available from ALR, transfer rates are in the 16 MBps range. A
variety of optional 24bit color, PCI video adapters allow the level of
video performance to be chosen based on the application's requirements.

The flexible minitower chassis design and expanded feature set provides an
excellent platform in which the user can have all of their processing
requirements easily met. "The combination of ALR's Evolution V ST and
Intel's 133-MHz Pentium processor allows the business user all of the
tools to do their work faster and more efficiently," said Ortegon.

Advanced security features include a multi-position locking front panel
that protects all external drive bays from misuse. A keyboard inhibit
switch allows the keyboard and mouse to be disabled, while a chassis lock
protects all internal components. Three levels of password security
provides another line of defense against unauthorized use. Additionally, a
special network server mode promotes secure "NetWare" network operation.

Price, Availability and Distribution

The Evolution V ST/133 is priced at $3,295 and will be available this
month. ALR products are sold direct to corporate and small businesses
through an international network of ALR "Power Partner" resellers.
Additionally, the company offers its products through such major
distributors as Merisel, Tech Data, Gates/Arrow and GBC/Vitek.
