SCREEN TEST ONLINE AND AMDAHL TAKE AIM AT THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

ON-LINE DATABASE OF VIDEO AUDITIONS EASES TASK OF CASTING DIRECTORS

San Francisco, California (May 16, 1995) -- Screen Test Online, a newly
formed, San Francisco based interactive video communications company, and
Amdahl Corporation, a leading computer technology company, today announced
an alliance that has produced an interactive talent search database,
designed to showcase performers for the entertainment and communications
industries.

In connection with the alliance, Amdahl developed and licensed to Screen
Test Online a server/storage system for broadband video on-line services.
That server/storage system interfaces with an interactive talent search
database application jointly developed by Screen Test Online and Amdahl.

The product resulting from the Amdahl/Screen Test Online alliance will
deliver a digitized portfolio of high-quality video auditions to the
desktops of casting professionals, thereby saving time and money by
eliminating the "cattlecall" approach of having dozens of performers turn
up at a theater to spend hours waiting for a five-minute audition.

"Over the past two years, Amdahl has concluded a series of new partnerships
and alliances with a variety of companies, in order to provide a more
comprehensive range of information solutions," said Linda Alepin, Vice
President of Business Development at Amdahl. "Broadband information and
video-on-demand services like Screen Test Online are a natural extension
of many of the things we are doing as we continue to integrate our product
lines with market requirements."

Amdahl will integrate a customized systems package and provide technical
support. The system interacts via the TCP- IP communications protocol with
an Oracle database created by Amdahl. Utilizing a Sun workstation, Amdahl
has created a multi-user system capable of storing and forwarding video
via a high speed transmission line.

"On a large casting call, performers can feel like clothes on a rack, and
casting people go crazy trying to keep up with the flood of existing
talent and newcomers getting into the business," adds founder of Screen
Test Online, Geoff Lucas. "It's tough just to get signed with a reputable
agent, and even tougher to get called for an audition. Screen Test Online
will provide both sides a much more efficient, cost effective and
dignified way to showcase new talent."

Screen Test Online's video database, search and retrieval system does not
replace the face-to-face audition interaction that is vital to the casting
process but it allows casting professionals to narrow the field in a short
time. Using a desktop computer and simple "point and click" commands,
users can create a detailed profile of the type of performers for whom
they are looking. They then use the graphical interface to check off the
"sort" criteria boxes. For example a director might choose: Males, six
feet plus, non-union, blonde, 190 pounds who can sing, speak Spanish and
roller skate or Females, Asian, 30-40 years old, experienced in on-camera
narration, living and working in the LA area. When the director hits the
"search" icon the computer goes to a remote database of talent looking for
as many "matches" as possible and sends back a screen, or screens, of
small "headshots", names and talent. They can then choose to see a
performer's Screen Test Online video audition, resume, and photo
portfolio.

Based in San Francisco's "Multimedia Gulch," Screen Test Online's
experienced management and technical team has developed the first
interactive video database of talent in the performing arts. Using a
combination of professional software authoring tools, midsize computer
server/storage systems and high capacity phone networks, Screen Test
Online intends to deliver a leading edge application straight down the
fast lane of the information super-highway. For more information call
