AT&T to showcase Workplace of the Future at White House

June 6, 1995 -- BASKING RIDGE, N.J. -- Thousands of small businesses with
ambitious growth plans will be checking out the latest technology next
week at the Global Workplace of the Future exhibit at the White House
Conference on Small Business in Washington, D.C.

AT&T today announced that it will be participating as a joint underwriter
of the exhibit, which will be open to the public on Monday, June 12
through Wednesday, June 14. The exhibit will showcase a host of AT&T's
latest products and services designed to help small businesses compete in
a global marketplace. Some of the products AT&T will be demonstrating
include:

** AT&T Export Hotline, which provides in-depth reports on 58 industries in
almost 100 countries. Reports from the hotline can be delivered to
businesses within minutes via fax.

** AT&T Globalyst(TM) Notebook computers, which deliver true desktop
application power with features like upgradable processors, advanced color
displays, wireless communications, and multimedia capabilities. AT&T
Vistium Personal Video System, a desktop multimedia system for visual
collaboration.

** AT&T Computer Telephone 8310, a two-line speakerphone that connects
directly to a personal computer, providing caller identification,
directory capabilities, and other sophisticated features. AT&T
PassageWay(TM) Telephony Services, which establish a telecommunications
interface between telephone and computer, linking these two powerful
business tools.

AT&T's exhibit will also highlight two new programs designed for the small
business market. The first, AT&T Resources for New Business, is a package
of information services, a staffed resource center, and special discounts
on business products and services designed to assist a new business owner
at start-up and throughout the life of the business.

The second program, AT&T Home Business Resources(SM), provides free support
for the work-at-home business professional, including a single point of
contact for their business needs, and a package of products and services
to help them save money and enhance their efficiency.

In addition, AT&T will be exhibiting small business products such as the
latest in cordless and cellular telephones, computers, and office
telecommunications systems, including AT&T TransTalk 9000(R), a
wide-ranging wireless business system that allows users to walk as they
work. Information will also be available on AT&T's services designed to
help a small business compete internationally, including AT&T
International Fax Service and AT&T International 800 Service.
