Who We Are...

Children's Animated Television (CAT) is a (501-c-3) non-profit
organization that produces educational videos for children and
teenagers. Kids ages 8-12 and their families, learn about
contemporary social issues such as diversity, substance abuse and
AIDS. Cartoons are familiar and nonthreatening to children.
Friendly and likable cartoon characters with names like,
"Goslyn Russell" (a goose) and "Furball" (a cat) educate as well
as entertain families. A new activity for CAT is our production of
videos for teenagers (not animated). Future projects for teens
include substance abuse, suicide prevention and being safe on the
streets. CAT would like to discuss topics for all kids, from third
grade thru high school. We are a new and progressive organization
in search of people concerned about a better future for all
children.

What We Do...

Our goal is to encourage discussion between children, parents and
anyone concerned about today's social issues. Discussion can
motivate people to find creative solutions, and learn to compromise.
If you can envision peace and solutions, then you can find ways to
end conflict. We challenge all good people to swallow their pride
and work together!!!

People Who Know Us...

Our video on diversity, "The Cool Cat's Show - Differences" has won
a prestigious cable television award. "Dr Furball Talks About HIV
& AIDS" is listed as a resource in the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control Educational Database. We have received support from
Congressman Moakley, Congressman Markey and Senator Kennedy of
Massachusetts. Both video programs have recently been added to the
resource list of the National Education Association Health
Information Network. Our unique videos have also appeared on many
cable television stations.

How You Can Help...

1. Tell people you know about CAT. Spoken words can be as powerful
as the written. Tell people you know who have an interest in the
   future of all children.
2. We can always use a volunteer. If you have a few hours each
week to: help stuff envelopes, make some phone calls, help with
fundraising, work with your computer or write for our newsletter,
   please give us a call.
3. Make a donation. Yes, we are in stiff competition for money with
other non-profit organizations out there, but we believe the
future of our children is worth the price. If you have a few
dollars you can give for a donation (and a tax deduction), please
   think about CAT.
4. We are also interested in finding a software author to work with
CAT on a "Dr Furball's Educational Software" series. We must use
ALL the available technology to educate kids while they are still
young, and forming opinions. Why not help us to help them?
