NEW CONSUMER TECHNOLOGY SHOW TO DEBUT IN '96

First international event devoted to meeting rising demand for home
electronics products and services

May 29, 1995 -- (PRINCETON, NJ)--It is predicted that by the year 2000, 20
million European households will be hooked up to data networks, with home
PCs in use for everything from communicating with distant relatives to
electronically shopping and paying bills to controlling household lighting
and appliances. In light of this explosive growth, organizers of CeBIT,
the world's largest information and communications technology trade show,
announce the 1996 debut of CeBIT HONE; Aug. 28 - Sept. 1, 1996; biennial;
Hannover, Germany).

Organizers expect the upward trend in CeBIT's private attendance (nearly a
third of the 750,000 CeBIT '95 visitors) to carry over to CeBIT HOME. Some
200,000 visitors are expected at the inaugural event, comprising household
and small or home office end-users and retail buyers, resellers, and
distributors.

One thousand exhibitors will showcase products and services in the areas of
entertainment electronics; media; telecommunications; on-line services;
home automation and security technology; software; networking; and
information technology.

Hannover Fairs USA to organize American group exhibit

To make exhibiting at CeBIT HOME as smooth and cost-effective as possible,
Hannover Fairs USA will organize a USA Pavilion designed to hold up to 50
exhibitors, including technology marketers, trade associations and state
groups. Participants in the USA Pavilion will receive a turnkey package
that includes not only booth space and furnishings but also many services
and amenities such as pre-show planning, logistical and promotional
support, and interpreter and administrative services during the show.

"We are excited at the prospect of offering American companies a new way to
capitalize on Europe's growing demand for home and small office
technology," says Joachim Schafer, president of Hannover Fairs USA. "With
CeBIT HOME timed to coincide with retail's traditional pre-holiday season
ordering period, suppliers will have an excellent opportunity to build
their overseas sales base."

Major international companies such as Microsoft, Sony, Apple, AT&T,
Grundig, Compaq, Novell, and Nintendo plan major exhibits at CeBIT HOME.
