AWARD-WINNING 3D ATLAS CD-ROM AVAILABLE NOW FOR WINDOWS FROM CREATIVE
WONDERS

Explore the Planet, Fly Over Mountain Ranges, And Learn About Environmental
Issues In Acclaimed Multimedia Reference Guide

June 6, 1995 -- San Mateo, CA -- Offering a whole new dimension to global
navigation, 3D Atlas from Creative Wonders is now available for Windows.
Initially released for Macintosh in November 1994, 3D Atlas has already
garnered several awards including two International EMMA awards for Best
International and Best Information and Reference CD-ROM. Brought to life
with the use of real satellite images, first person point-of-view video
flights, and 3D spinning globes, 3D Atlas opens up an unparalleled
panorama of the planet.

Like no other reference tool on the market, 3D Atlas provides users with an
experience similar to that of a bird in flight. As the globe rotates,
users clearly see the vast and varied contours of the earth and view
breathtaking graphics, including simulated flights over such diverse
terrain as the Himalayas, Australian deserts, Arctic tundra, and South
American rainforests. Upon traveling to the preferred destination, the
user can then research the area and learn about each location's amazing
and unequivocal details.

3D Atlas, winner of Communication Arts Magazine's Interactive Design award,
is the perfect classroom and homework aid, providing students, teachers
and parents alike with the option to print out photographic and textual
information for personalized reports or zoom in to study specific
locations around the globe. In addition, 3D Atlas contains an endless
encyclopedia of comparative statistical data on topography, geography,
environmental, political, demographic and other basic information from a
global perspective.

"3D Atlas has established the level of outstanding reputation we plan to
deliver in each of our ABC World Reference titles," said Greg Bestick
president of Creative Wonders. "This living reference CD-ROM invites the
user back again and again because it captures the wonder of the planet,
entices users to explore the world and is an excellent fundamental
educational tool."

Offering both daytime and nighttime views of the planet, 3D Atlas provides
first person point-of-view flights and extensive information on various
ecological regions ranging from arid deserts to temperate forests to snow
capped mountains. This interactive world reference guide offers detailed
information about the Earth's crust, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere,
tectonic plates and geosphere all with the simple click of the mouse.

Rendered from over 20,000 images, this comprehensive and multidimensional
atlas is based on real satellite data. The 3D Atlas features thousands of
satellite images of the globe based on data from NASA, Russian spy
satellites and other sources. These satellite images allow the user to
explore major cities around the world from a variety of levels starting
with street level and ending with the "big picture" view of Earth.

3D Atlas is the first title to be released under Creative Wonders' ABC
World Reference product line, to be followed by "ABC's Wide World of
Animals" for the upcoming 1995 holiday season. 3D Atlas is available now
for Windows for approximately $64.95.
