DELL TO BEGIN VOLUME SHIPMENTS OF NEW PENTIUM PROCESSOR-BASED DELL
DIMENSION PCs

--Adds two new systems to high-performance product family for small/medium
sized businesses

AUSTIN, Texas, June 12, 1995 -- Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL)
announced that it will begin immediate shipments in volume of two new Dell
Dimension XPS personal computers based on the 133-megahertz (MHz) Pentium
processor introduced today by Intel Corporation. Dell is one of the first
vendors in the industry to ship systems based on the new processor.

The new Dell Dimension XPS P133c mini tower and desktop personal computers
are extremely powerful systems designed for use in mainstream business
applications at the office or at home. With prices for full-featured
configurations starting at $2,599, the new systems will also represent a
compelling value to customers. Additional pricing and technical
information about the Dell Dimension XPS P133c systems is available by
calling 1-800-BUY-DELL (1-800-289-3355).

"We are pleased to begin shipping our 133MHz products on the same day that
Intel announces its latest processor. We have been consistently early to
market with new Pentium processor systems--in fact, all reports indicate
that we were the first vendor to ship systems based on the 120MHz
Pentium," said Doug MacGregor, vice president, Dimension. "This track
record underscores our commitment to execute crisply, delivering relevant
new technologies to customers as quickly as possible. It also attests to
the benefit of our strategic relationship with Intel."

Dell also announced immediate availability of two new performance-enhancing
options for use with its Dell Dimension PCs. Dell Dimension customers can
now obtain a module featuring 512K of "Pipeline Burst" cache memory,
doubling the amount of cache that customers now can purchase for use with
their Dell Dimension XPS systems. Pipeline Burst cache represents the
latest technological advancement in cache memory design, and the newly
available cache module significantly boosts system performance in standard
business applications. The new cache module option is available
factory-integrated for $100.

Dell also announced availability of the U.S. Robotics 28.8 bit-per-second
(BAUD) modem. The new modem can transmit data twice as fast as 14.4 BAUD
modems, previously the fastest modems available. Modem speed is vitally
important for computer buyers who use applications--such as electronic
mail--while traveling, or who connect to on-line services such as the
Internet. The new modem is available factory-integrated for $149.

A Fortune Global 500 company, Dell Computer Corporation is the world's
leading direct marketer of personal computers and one of the largest PC
