Delphi Internet Names Anthea Disney Editor

NEW YORK, Wednesday, June 28 -- Anthea Disney, editorial director of
Murdoch Magazines and editor-in-chief of TV Guide, has been named
Editor-In-Chief Worldwide of The News Corporation's Delphi Internet
Services Corporation, it was announced today by Rupert Murdoch , chairman
of The News Corporation.

In this newly-created position, Ms. Disney, 48, will be responsible for the
design and development of the content that will be delivered on Delphi
Internet's new and expanded service which will debut in the fall.

Ms. Disney will assume her new role effective July 1. A new editor-in-chief
of TV Guide will be announced shortly.

"Ms. Disney has an outstanding track record as an editor in both publishing
and television," Mr. Murdoch said. "Her abilities and talents will be well
suited to overseeing the development of innovative interactive content
that will delight and inform consumers as they continue to make this new
online medium an integral part of their everyday lives."

Dr. Greg Clark, president of News Technology Group, observed that "the
arrival of Anthea Disney at Delphi Internet indicates the importance News
Corporation places on its online service and its recognition of the
importance of superior editorial content."

"To date, the content developed for this emerging online medium has been
largely lacking in editorial sophistication," said Dr. Alan Baratz, CEO,
Delphi Internet. "As we prepare to launch our new service in the fall, it
is our goal to deliver refreshing and engaging content that sets new
standards for creative and editorial excellence. With her extensive
experience in providing informative and entertaining editorial content for
one of the nation's most widely read publications, Ms. Disney will drive
us to this goal."

"I am thrilled to be involved in a young industry where there's so much
room for innovation," Ms. Disney said.

Named "Best Editor of 1992" by Advertising Age, Disney was credited with
revitalizing TV Guide, bringing a sharper, more provocative edge to
America's largest weekly magazine. Her improvements helped make the
magazine one of Adweek's "10 Hottest Magazines of 1993 and 1994." In 1995,
TV Guide rose to the position of number-one revenue -producing magazine
and became the country s first billion-dollar magazine (by gross
revenues). Similarly, TV Guide was the only top twenty magazine to post
double-digit increases in both ad sales and revenue for two years in a
row. Last year, TV Guide finished up 16% in ad pages and 21.59% in
revenue.

As the editorial director of Murdoch Magazines, Disney oversaw all Murdoch
Magazine-related projects including TV Guide, TV Guide On Screen and TV
Guide Online as well as the exploration of magazine development and
acquisitions. Disney came to TV Guide with an extensive background in
publishing and television production. She was formerly the executive
producer of FOX-TV's "A Current Affair." Prior to that, she worked in
magazine development for Murdoch Magazines.

Before joining Murdoch Magazines, Disney was editor-in-chief of Self
Magazine, where she oversaw the magazine's highly successful redesign.
Previously, she was editor of Us Magazine, where she fine- tuned the
bi-weekly into a lively entertainment and personality-driven book.

Disney, who received her early training on London's Fleet Street , is also
an experienced newspaper editor and reporter. She served as the deputy
managing editor of the New York Daily News and the editor of the Sunday
Daily News.
