Lexmark, PageNet and Fourth Wave Software Alliance To Bring Paging To
Lexmark's MarkVision

GREENWICH, CT., June 15, 1995 ...Lexmark International Inc. today announced
a technology alliance with Paging Network, Inc. (PageNet) and Fourth Wave
Software to bring pager notification services to Lexmark's MarkVision
network printer management utility later this year. MarkVision will
combine with Fourth Wave's WinBeep application technology and transmit
over PageNet's nationwide and local transmission services.

With the addition of the paging system to MarkVision, users are able to
send status alerts to Local Area Network (LAN) managers when they are away
from the LAN management console. This will allow network administrators to
institute more effective time management capabilities, while increasing
responsiveness to LAN users. "Lexmark is committed to leading the market
in the development of new capabilities for advanced printer management on
LANs," said Glenn Hudson, general manager, Network Attachment Products.
"To that end, we are pleased to work with PageNet and Fourth Wave Software
to bring pager notification services to MarkVision."

"PageNet is pleased to join with Lexmark to provide nationwide and local
wireless service for automated error notification to pagers and laptop or
palmtop computers with PCMCIA pager cards," said Dana Krug, director of
PageNet's Wireless Business Development. "The alliance with Lexmark and
Fourth Wave Software will be a great advantage for our customers as well
as Lexmark's new MarkVision users."

"We are excited about the opportunity to have WinBeep assist in bringing
critical information about LAN services such as printing status directly
to the increasingly mobile user," said Tim Hudson, president of Fourth
Wave Software.

Lexmark's current network printing products offer a broad range of
compatibility for all leading operating system environments. Lexmark's
Optra printer family supports 1,200 x 1,200 dpi printing and up to two
MarkNet or MarkNet XL internal network adapters (INAs) with multiprotocol
capabilities that allow printing from more than 30 network environments
including Novell NetWare, Microsoft Windows NT, IBM OS/2 LAN Server,
Banyan VINES and a full spectrum of UNIX environments.

Lexmark International is an independent worldwide company that develops,
