MICROSIM ANNOUNCES FIRST FULL-FEATURED EVALUATION SOFTWARE FOR WINDOWS ON
CD-ROM WITH ON-LINE MANUALS

June 12, 1995 -- IRVINE Calif. -- MicroSim Corporation today introduced the
first full-featured electronic design automation (EDA) evaluation software
for Windows. with a complete set of online manuals on CD-ROM. The release
allows designers to evaluate MicroSim s family of powerful Windows
integrated EDA systems, free of charge. before they buy.

"Product brochures can only go so far to inform an engineer about a
product," said Wolfram Blume president and founder of MicroSim. "We wanted
to find an inexpensive way to let engineers evaluate our products."

MicroSim's new evaluation CD-ROM is a first for the EDA industry. It
provides full-featured Windows EDA software with tutorials, multimedia
slide shows, and a complete set of on-line manuals.

Engineers can get factual answers to their questions by navigating through
the table of contents, indexes and hypertext links throughout each of the
manuals. The on-line manuals are based on technology provided by Frame
Technology, San Jose, Calif.

"MicroSim wanted to find an easy way to let engineers explore the
capabilities of our products without having to read mountains of
brochures," said Blume.

MicroSim offers the CD-ROM evaluation software free to engineers who want
to test drive MicroSim s software before making a purchase decision. The
CD-ROMs include tutorials and sample designs to use when experimenting
with MicroSim's software. The software is full-featured, but is restricted
to small designs. A multimedia slide show is also included.

The MicroSim family of Windows evaluation software available on CD-ROM
includes integrated EDA software products for schematic capture (MicroSim
Schematics), mixed analog and digital simulation (MicroSim PSpice A/D),
analog performance optimization (MicroSim PSpice Optimizer), and signal
integrity analysis (MicroSim Polaris).

MicroSim products are available for Microsoft Windows, Windows NT, DOS Sun
Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard systems. MicroSim sells directly to
engineers and through VARs (value added resellers). "Because we do not
have an expensive sales force, we can pass our savings on to our customers
and VARs," Blume said. MicroSim customers receive high-end EDA software at
affordable "shrink-wrapped" prices substantially below those of companies
using a field sales force.

MicroSim application engineers provide same-day response technical support
free to customers. More information on MicroSim products is available by
