Micro

- The agreement significantly expands QUALCOMM's presence in the consumer
distribution channel with their Eudora Pro electronic mail software -

San Diego, CA (May 31, 1995) - QUALCOMM Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM)
announced it has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with Ingram
Micro, the world's largest wholesale distributor of microcomputer
products. According to the agreement, Ingram Micro will distribute
QUALCOMM's Eudora Pro for Macintosh and Windows electronic mail software
to resellers worldwide. The agreement marks the first worldwide entry into
the consumer distribution channel for the Eudora Pro software and carries
out the first part of QUALCOMM's recently announced three part global
e-mail strategy to bring its popular e-mail software to the Internet
consumer, general business and education customer, and organizations with
enterprise-wide networks.

QUALCOMM changed the name of their e-mail software, formerly called Eudora
by QUALCOMM, to help users distinguish the commercial version, now called
Eudora Pro, from the freeware version, now called Eudora Light, which is
available free of charge on the Internet and through a variety of OEM
relationships. The name change and new product features were outlined
today in a separate announcement.

The worldwide agreement with Ingram Micro will allow QUALCOMM to expand its
market into major retail chains, including Egghead Software, Comp USA,
Computer City, Staples, Office Max, Fry's, and Price/Costco. Ingram Micro
distributes through 70,000 reseller customers in 120 countries. QUALCOMM
will continue to push Eudora Pro in distribution channels to corporate
resellers, value-added resellers (VARs), systems integrators and Internet
service providers. In addition, Eudora Pro will be available through mail
order catalogs such as Multiple Zones International and PC Connection,
Inc. "This agreement opens the door to exciting new opportunities for
QUALCOMM. Our relationship with Ingram Micro enables us to bring advanced
electronic mail software to both novice and experienced consumers that may
not have had access to a powerful e-mail tool before. Eudora Pro provides
PC and Macintosh users the ability to easily plug into the vast resources
of the Internet and communicate with others around the world," said Ann
Schrader, national sales manager for QUALCOMM's Enterprise Software
Technologies group, QUEST.

Eudora Pro for Macintosh and Windows is personal computer software that
gives users an easy, affordable, and reliable way to communicate across
town or around the world. Eudora Pro's advanced software features save
users time in composing, managing and replying to their electronic mail.
Because the Eudora Pro software adheres to Internet standards, users can
communicate with anyone on the Internet, regardless of platform or e-mail
software. With nearly three million people worldwide using versions of
Eudora, it has proven to be the most popular and reliable way to exchange
mail on the Internet.

Providing a complete electronic mail solution for new and experienced
Internet users, Eudora Pro for Macintosh and Windows includes a 30 day
Internet access sign-on offer including free connect time, provided by the
Portal Information Network, a leading provider of nationwide interactive
network services. Available 24 hours a day, it automatically connects the
user into Portal's network, establishes a user account and registers the
user in only 60 seconds, all free of charge.

Additionally, a spelling checker is integrated into both versions to allow
users to easily create professional-looking documents and minimize the
possibility of miscommunication. Previously, spell-checking capability was
sold separately for the Macintosh version only.

Rounding out Eudora Pro's complete e-mail solution is the addition of
network connectivity software allowing users to seamlessly connect to
remote networks, and directly to the Internet. Bundled in the Eudora Pro
for Windows version will be Frontier Technologies Corporation's TCP/IP
network connectivity package, SuperTCP Kernel, the leading TCP/IP
networking software for PC/Windows platforms. Eudora Pro for Macintosh
includes MacTCP software from Apple Computer, Inc., which provides TCP/IP
network connectivity, and Hyde Park Software's MacSLIP software, a SLIP
and Point-to-Point (PPP) software connection providing simple telephone
dial-in access to remote computer networks, including the Internet.

"Eudora Pro is a premier electronic mail program, providing consumers with
a complete solution for connecting to the Internet. As such, it is a key
addition to our suite of Internet products," said Sanat K. Dutta,
executive vice president, for Ingram Micro. "We're pleased to provide our
customers with the most powerful communication software available today
for the Internet."

According to Schrader, QUALCOMM also selected Ingram Micro for their
comprehensive selection of advanced, value-added services. Ingram Micro
will provide technical service and support for resellers in the United
States and internationally. In addition, the company will offer reseller
support services and marketing services including catalogs, end-user
product guides and fax bulletins. -more- QUALCOMM will provide resellers
with a complete sales kit to help them market and sell the product. The
kit will include a multitude of sales collateral such as product
brochures, product orientation guides, price sheets, tabbed product cards,
pocket cards for quick reference, a display box, order forms, and article
reprints.

The Eudora Pro for Macintosh and Windows software will be available in
early July. The suggested retail price (SRP) is $89 and includes the
Internet sign-on offer with free connect time, built-in spelling checker,
