SEAGATE RELEASES POWERFUL NEW ON-LINE SALES GUIDE FOR DISTRIBUTORS

Menu-driven electronic guide to Seagate disc drive products provides
channel partners with easy-to-use product information resource

SCOTTS VALLEY, CALIF. --June 14, 1995 -- Seagate Technology has developed
an innovative windows-based sales guide for distributors and channel
partners that will provide the most up-to-date and comprehensive
information available about Seagate's wide range of industry-leading hard
disc drives.

"This powerful new guide is the first of its kind in the drive industry,
and is designed to become an indispensable tool for our channel partners
to get the information they need to sell Seagate disc drives," said Roger
Liston, director of sales training at Seagate. "This on-line guide will
not only allow our distributors to be instantly informed about the latest
features and technologies of Seagate drives, it will make it easier for
them to differentiate Seagate drives from competitive offerings."

The new on-line guide contains a wealth of information about Seagate drives
in an easy-to-use, menu-driven format. The guide is designed for use by
telesales organizations who need up-to-date, comprehensive information at
their fingertips, as well as by field sales personnel who can call up
information on a notebook or other portable computer.

Features like the "Drive" menu offer users a variety of ways to get
information they need, including how to select a drive by model, capacity,
interface type, form factor, platform or even by competitive model
numbers. The guide contains everything included in Seagate's latest
hard-copy Sales Guide, plus more detailed information on drive
specifications, features and applications. The guide even contains a menu
where users can access articles about features like the industry-standard
Fast ATA-2 disc interface or Seagate's A/V Professional program.

"As the technical complexity of disc drives continues to grow, the subtle
but significant distinctions between drives that may appear to be
identical become harder to appreciate," said John Monroe, vice president
of storage products for SYNNEX Information Technologies Inc. "Seagate has
now given us a truly educational tool that can provide instantaneous,
accurate, and up-to-date access to critical information about Seagate disc
drives and drive technology in general."

The guide is now being sent to Seagate industrial and authorized
distributors, who can make it available to their resellers. Updates to the
guide will be available through the SeaBOARD bulletin board system (BBS).
