with United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and is
one of over 60 Trade Points located worldwide. These individual Trade
Points, which make up the Global Trade Point Network (GTPN), will share
trade leads, regulatory information, and service listings from their
respective countries and regions with other Trade Points. The goal of
UNCTAD and the GTPN is to encourage the growth of international trade by
providing small- and medium-sized companies with the necessary tools to
compete in the global marketplace, utilizing the latest information and
telecommunications technologies, such as the Internet. Trade Point USA is
also encouraging the growth of a US network of local Trade Points by
offering a program that provides the business framework, financial
incentives and products a local organization needs to successfully
implement a Trade Point in its market.

Randy Smith, director of Trade Point USA states 'We believe that the
development of the Trade Point system is contributing significantly to the
progress the world is making toward a truly global economy--an economy in
which having access to accurate and timely trade information, split second
communications, advanced computer technology and the Internet can level
the playing field for small-and medium-sized companies. The products and
services provided within I-TRADE are a giant step in this direction. "
