Traveling Software Announces LapLink Host

Easy, Affordable and Secure Remote Support to Ship Early Q3 -'95

Help Desk, MIS & Technicians To Support Win95, Windows 3.x & DOS Users
Reducing Costs & Increasing Customer Satisfaction

BOTHELL, Wash., June 19, 1995 - Traveling Software, Inc. announced today
that LapLink Host, a streamlined version of LapLink for Windows, will ship
early third quarter 1995. LapLink Host will provide technical support,
help desk, and MIS personnel with a reliable support tool for PC
users--vastly reducing technical support costs and customer downtime.
Residing on a user' s computer, LapLink Host will give technicians using
LapLink for Windows a secure way to remotely run, view and manage PC' s
running Windows 95, Windows 3.x and DOS.

Support technicians will use LapLink for Windows together with LapLink Host
to diagnose and resolve user problems, distribute new software and set up
PCs remotely over an IPX network or by modem. In addition, LapLink Host
maintains corporate security by preventing end users from making outbound
connections on their own, and is a more affordable software investment for
large organizations. With LapLink Host, help desk providers will save
time, money and energy solving user problems, as well as increase customer
service and satisfaction.

Hardware manufacturers and software developers will use LapLink Host to
ensure that solutions to customers' problems are quickly resolved. Compaq
Corporation is currently bundling a version of LapLink Host with their
consumer desktop computer-line which allows Compaq's technical support
staff to remotely take control of a customer's computer for the diagnosis
and resolution of problems.

"Remotely operating a customer's PC enables our support technicians to
provide our customers with the best service and support program in the
industry," said Gus Kolias, Vice President of Compaq Customer Service and
Training. "Our initial studies with LapLink Host indicate that we can
reduce technical support call time by at least 50 percent."

Features

Easy Installation: The master installation feature of LapLink Host will
enable technicians to configure and distribute customized host versions
without complicated training or installation procedures. In this way, end
users can install the product themselves at their convenience.

Full-featured Security: LapLink Host will disable outbound customer host PC
connections, and offers password protection to prevent tampering.

Customized disclaimer screen: To provide added security to both the
administrator and end user, LapLink Host includes a configurable legal
disclaimer screen. When the screen appears on the end user's machine, the
user may then accept or decline a LapLink connection from the
administrator.

Remote Control for Windows 95, Windows 3.x and DOS: LapLink Host will
provide technicians a way to cost-effectively diagnose and resolve
problems quickly across the most widely-used operating systems.

Support for a wide range of PC systems and modems: LapLink Host's
simplified architecture promotes stability and improves software and
hardware compatibility. The product will support over 300 modems, V.Fast
and cellular modems, and over 40 PCMCIA models.
