POWERFUL BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TOOL COMBINES BEST OF DATA QUERY AND
REPORTING AND INTERACTIVE ANALYSIS

BOSTON, Massachusetts, June 14, 1995--Trinzic Corporation (NASDAQ:TRNZ)
today introduced Forest & Trees 4.0, a new generation of business
intelligence tool that provides organizations with a powerful platform to
implement effective data delivery strategies through a combination of data
query, reporting and analysis capabilities.

At a press briefing held here today, Frederick W. Rook, Trinzic's Vice
President and General Manager, Data Access and Connectivity Business Unit
said, "The introduction of Forest & Trees 4.0 represents a major leap
forward, creating a new class of product that combines data query,
reporting and analysis tools. Until now, customers who wanted adhoc data
access were forced to choose products with limited functionality, like
Business Objects or Impromptu. Forest & Trees 4.0 offers users an
alternative by adding ad-hoc query to its outstanding analysis and
reporting features."

"Forest & Trees 4.0 goes beyond Business Objects and other similar tools by
combining ad-hoc queries and extensive analysis capabilities," said Ed
Meyers, Functional Support Manager for Rogers Cablesystems, Limited.

Forest & Trees 4.0 Meets the Needs of Business Users and IS Management

Trinzic's Forest & Trees 4.0 software product expands the scope to meet the
market's new demands. It is designed to meet the expanding needs of
business users who need simple and intuitive access to the organization's
data store and who need the tools to effectively analyze that information
for increased effectiveness in their work. It is also designed to provide
IS management with a managed query environment that can be maintained
efficiently, as well as facilities for customizing business intelligence
applications.

Business User Facilities
------------------------

Ad-Hoc Query and Reporting

Complementing the award-winning data access capabilities found in previous
releases of the product, Trinzic's Forest & Trees 4.0 software offers
users expanded query capability, including the ability to conduct ad-hoc
queries without having knowledge of SQL or the target database structure.
This is a key addition to Forest & Trees as increasing numbers of
organizations are choosing to provide direct access to business users.
Forest & Trees 4.0 provides the means for users to get this information
directly in a format they can understand via a state-of-the-art reporting
facility. Users can then act on the data to deliver the return on the
organization's investment in databases and data warehouses.

"Because of our fast-paced dynamic business environment, Forest & Trees is
the perfect tool to respond rapidly to end user query and reporting
demands," said Brian Alink, Systems Analyst for MCI Consumer Markets
Division.

Interactive Analysis

Forest & Trees is noted for its ability to turn raw data into business
intelligence. Version 4.0 continues the tradition of powerful data
analysis with cutting-edge features such as alarms, graphs, crosstabs and
single-click data interpretation. These features combine with the more
powerful ad-hoc data access to make Forest & Trees 4.0 the most complete
solution available, allowing users to get the information they need and
quickly evaluate the business options.

IS Management Facilities
------------------------

Setup and Maintenance

The Forest & Trees dictionary provides a powerful mechanism for creating
and maintaining a rich, managed-query environment. By taking advantage of
the benefits of object orientation, the management of changing
requirements is handled automatically in the Forest & Trees dictionary
after the initial set-up.

"In the managed query environment, I can create a core set of SQL
statements that have been optimized with guaranteed results for the
users," said Jerry Bohmen, Project Manager, Information Services for GMAC
Residential Funding Corporation.

Customization

Forest & Trees 4.0 is also the first major data query and reporting tool to
offer customization facilities that enable the development of intuitive,
read-only applications that allow end users to graphically navigate
through the more challenging data analysis requirements. IS management can
build upon the productive queries and reports initiated by users and
capture and distribute reports and formats that can be of value to
additional users.

"Forest & Trees has historically been noted for its strength in data
analysis. With the enhancements found in the latest release, Forest &
Trees will also be recognized for strong query capabilities," added Rook.
"The combination of application customization features and ad-hoc query
and reporting position Forest & Trees as a leader in the Business
Intelligence Market."
