UNISYS EXPANDS PC SERVER LINE WITH HIGH-END RACKMOUNT

Server Family Broadened With New Dual Pentium Models; All Servers Are
Built-To-Customer-Order

San Jose, CA - June 21, 1995 - Unisys Corporation today announced two new
PW2 Advantage Series rackmount servers housing up to three
high-performance, four-processor server modules in a single cabinet. Each
module in the PW2 Advantage Series Model SFR (SuperServer,
Fault-resilient, Rackmount) supports up to four 100 MHz Pentium
processors, future 133 MHz Pentium processors and is P6-ready. These units
further extend the PC server options from Unisys and give MIS and LAN
managers an ideal solution for LAN consolidation and mission-critical
LAN-based applications. The SFR has the performance, capacity and
reliability to satisfy today's and tomorrow's client/server computing
requirements.

The PW2 Advantage Series Model SFR is available in two form factors, a
mid-size rack cabinet (19U high) or a full-size rack (36U high). The heart
of the rackmount server is the processor rack which contains up to four
Pentium processors, five EISA slots, four PCI slots (one shared), up to 1
GB of ECC RAM, 512 KB or 2 MB of level-two cache, nine 5 1/4 drive bays
for up to 24 GB of hard disk, one 3 1/2 drive bay and redundant 600-Watt
power supplies. The mid-size rack cabinet can contain up to two processor
modules and the full height rack cabinet can contain up to four modules.
Each model can be further expanded with customer selectable module
options. Expanded mass storage is made operational using the mass storage
module; disks in this module and in the processor module are fully RAID
(0, 1 or 5) compliant with redundant SCSI controllers and support hot
swapping and hot standby. System resiliency is further extended with the
optional UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) module and system backup is
supported with the optional DAT (Digital Audio Tape) module.

Key customers have been asking for servers that provide increased
performance along with greater storage capacity and greater resiliency.
Our new SFR rackmount system gives them that and more, said Vaughn G.
Hysinger, vice president, marketing operations for Unisys Personal
Computer Division.

This announcement further demonstrates that Unisys is a serious, full line
PC vendor addressing the needs of commercial and governmental customers
worldwide.

New Dual Processor Server and CPU Upgrades

Unisys has also added a new, high-performance dual processor Model SVD, an
entry-level server or high-performance deskside system with a PCI bus
architecture. The system can be configured with one 120 MHz Intel Pentium
processor and can easily be upgraded to support two processors via a ZIF
socket upgrade. The SVD is configurable with up to 256 MB of main memory,
24 GB of mass storage and a SCSI FAST/WIDE controller. The Model SVD, and
all Unisys multiprocessor servers, provide the power and scalability
required to support new SMP operating systems such as Microsoft Windows
NT, Novell NetWare MP (when available), IBM OS/2 SMP and SCO OpenServer
Release 5, all of which are available factory-loaded from Unisys.

The current line of dual and quad-processors servers in the SSE, SME and
SFE product lines have been upgraded to include new processors based on
100 and 133 MHz Pentium processors. The SME and SFE have also been
redesigned to include the PCI bus architecture. A new, single processor,
full tower server, the SPE, has been released and features a PCI bus and
100 MHz Pentium technology.

Unisys Built-To-Customer-Order (BTCO) Program

The Unisys BTCO Program, implemented last year, was the industry's first
built-to-order manufacturing process. It enables customers to specify
specific system configurations from a wide range of memory, processor,
storage, communication, LAN and other peripheral options. Systems are
built and quality tested at the factory, and can be pre-installed with a
range of operating system and application software, making them
immediately productive for customers.

The BTCO process underpins our rackmount server program and offers our
customers the flexibility of individualized configuration options for each
rackmount drawer, said Hysinger. The BTCO program simplifies the delivery
and deployment of rackmount servers, and all Unisys PC products, in a vast
range of configurations. Delivered systems are correctly configured and
completely operational upon delivery.

Availability and Pricing

The SFR rackmount server is available with 100 MHz CPUs in June and 133 MHz
in August, 1995 and is priced from U.S. $14,000, depending on
configuration. The SVD dual processor server and is priced from U.S.
$4,800 to $6,000 and is available now. 100 MHz processor systems for the
SSE/SME/SFE are available now; PCI bus SME/SFE systems are available in
August, 1995. The new SPE single CPU server is available now and is priced
from U.S. $7,200 to $9,200. For further information and the location of
