XYLOGICS ANNOUNCES POINT-AND-CLICK REMOTE ACCESS WITH FASTLINK II

ENHANCED CLIENT SOFTWARE PROVIDES USERS WITH AN EASY-TO-USE WINDOWS
INTERFACE FOR DIAL-IN IPX ACCESS TO ALL NETWORK RESOURCES

Burlington, MA -- June 20, 1995 -- Xylogics, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLGX), the leader
in network access solutions, today announced that its FastLink II remote
access client software-integrated into Xylogics' Remote Annex family of
high-performance, multiprotocol remote access servers-now supports
point-and-click remote access to corporate LANs, eliminating cumbersome
keystrokes and connecting users to the information they need faster.
Working with Novell's latest VLM technology, FastLink II enables remote
and mobile users to quickly and reliably access electronic mail,
databases, printers and other applications residing on the corporate
network directly from Windows or MS-DOS.

According to Forrester Research, 75% of Fortune 1000 companies need a
remote access solution by the end of 1995. Remote access has fast become a
critical technology to support today's business environment of mobile
professionals, telecommuters and work who find that productivity is
increased with the ability to work outside of traditional office hours.
"The complex connections required to access information stored on the
office network from home or other remote locations can be a deterrent for
anyone but the most skilled computer user," said Gwyn Edwards, Xylogics'
Product Marketing Manager. "That's why Xylogics developed FastLink II with
an icon-based interface--to make remote access truely user-friendly."

FastLink II greatly simplifies remote access for users at all levels.
Remote users running MS-DOS or Microsoft Windows can transparently connect
to their corporate network simply by clicking on an icon. If the
connection unexpectedly disconnects, FastLink II automatically redials and
reconnects the session, allowing the user to continue working without
interruption. For network managers, FastLink II's straightforward,
menu-prompting install program translates into fewer network
administration hassles shorter set-up times, leaving them free to
concentrate on running their network. Because FastLink II carries an
unlimited "right to copy" privilege for end-users, it is a very
cost-effective remote access solution for even the largest of
enterprise-wide networks.

FastLink II gives users the added flexibility of remote control
functionality over the remote node connection, allowing users to connect
to their corporate network and control any PC residing on the network
using Windows. For tasks that involve moving large amounts of data over
the network - such as spreadsheets and databases - remote control offers
improved performance by allowing users to work faster by moving screen
displays, rather than data, over line connections. With Proxy remote
control software integrated into FastLink II, both remote node and remote
control functionality can be accessed separately or simultaneously during
a single dial-in session.

Users and network managers benefit from additional features of FastLink II,
including:

A remote executable warning utility to prevent users from accidentally
launching large files and applications from the network Disk caching of
frequently used programs

Support for over 300 pre-defined modems for point-and-click
configurability

Dial-back capability for tighter security and toll savings
