Network Extends Award-Winning Interactive Marketing Strategy

CBS will establish a full-service presence on America Online, extending its
award-winning interactive marketing strategy to the country's largest
online service, it was announced by George F. Schweitzer, Executive Vice
President, Marketing and Communications, CBS Television Network.

The new "CBS on AOL" area premieres this fall and will offer informational
and interactive features themed to the Network's programming. Highlights
will include THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN and THE LATE LATE SHOW
with TOM SNYDER, as well as bulletin boards, a photo gallery, chat
sessions and other features. CBS will also offer its advertisers
sponsorship opportunities for entertainment-themed interactive programs.

"CBS on AOL" will extend the current America Online/CBS relationship,
through which the service provides a pointer on its new web browser to CBS
EYE ON THE NET (http://www.cbs.com), the Network's home on the Internet's
World Wide Web.

"Our presence on America Online will greatly expand our reach to the fast
growing online audience," said Schweitzer. "This ability to extend our
brand and the brands of our advertisers to a new audience will be
particularly important as a vehicle to increase awareness and sampling of
our new fall schedule."

America Online is the largest and fastest growing provider of online
services in the United States with the most active subscriber base. AOL
offers its 3 million subscribers a wide variety of services, including
electronic mail, conferencing, software, computing support, interactive
magazines and newspapers and online classes, as well as easy and
affordable access to services of the Internet. Personal computer owners
can obtain America Online software at major retailers and bookstores, or
by calling 800-827-6364.

In February 1994, CBS became the first broadcast network to go online to
market its brand and the brands of its advertisers with the launch of "CBS
on PRODIGY," an alliance which will continue. The Network also established
the first full-service presence by a broadcast network on the Internet's
World Wide Web with the premiere of CBS EYE ON THE NET
(http://www.cbs.com) in February. CBS's success in interactive marketing
was recently recognized by the Interactive Services Association with an
award as "Best Online Business-Consumer Application. The award "celebrates
achievement in the development of interactive services for consumers."
