CE Software Ships MobileVision

LAN-Based E-Mail Connection For Motorola's Marco Wireless Communicator

West Des Moines, Iowa, June 20, 1995 - CE Software today shipped
MobileVision, an application providing QuickMail users wireless access to
their Local Area Network (LAN)-based mailboxes. MobileVision works with
Motorola's Marco Wireless Communicator, eliminating the need for two
mailboxes - one at the office and one on the road.

MobileVision is one of the first wireless applications focused on meeting
the needs of the existing and expanding business messaging market.
Wireless Communication is provided via the ARDIS nationwide packet data
network. While traditional Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) applications
effectively serve vertical segments of the industry, the capabilities
brought forth by MobileVision extend Motorola's Marco Wireless
Communicator into the mainstream messaging market.

"Today's mobile users demand true mobility," said Ford Goodman, president
and CEO of CE Software. "They deserve the simplicity of a single mailbox,
freedom from cumbersome wires and hardware, and the convenience of access
to data on their LAN anytime, anyplace."

Currently many wireless messaging applications are service oriented and
require an additional mail account. These applications are designed more
for the individual user rather than a business that has already invested
in a LAN-based messaging system. CE Software's MobileVision delivers users
wireless access to existing LAN-based mailboxes, and administrators the
ability to monitor all wireless messaging activity.

New Age In Mobile Connectivity

With MobileVision, users send and receive messages from the road just as
they would at their desktop. Users simply turn on the Marco Wireless
Communicator, and their messages are instantly and automatically
downloaded to the device - no dial-in is required.

Mobile users can have all their incoming messages sent to their Marco
Communicator or they can establish parameters for forwarding messages
using MobileVision's server-based rules. Rules can be set-up to download
only messages that meet the sender, recipient, subject, priority or date
criteria set by the user. Users can create, modify, and delete filters
wirelessly. For example, imagine a regional sales person had originally
established a rule that only urgent messages would be forwarded to her
Marco Wireless Communicator. However, now she has been delayed at the
airport and would like to read all her mail. With MobileVision, she can
seamlessly change the predefined rules and download all her mail.

Additional wireless agents within MobileVision enable users to receive a
list of all message header information and retrieve individual messages,
even conduct directory searches to locate E-mail addresses on the
LAN-based mail server.

Going Beyond Standard Modem Connections

Reports from users with beta versions of MobileVision are positive. Raphael
Davison, director of technology for Marakon Associates a management
consultancy firm with more than 250 employees using QuickMail at four
different locations, said, "Everyone at Marakon travels extensively and
mobile communication is a must. I really enjoy using MobileVision because
it provides a level of convenience that goes beyond standard modem
connections. Plus I can connect directly to the LAN and access QuickMail,
where all my critical information is. MobileVision has really made the
investment in my Marco pay off."

Teaming With Market Leaders

CE Software has teamed up with both Motorola and ARDIS, two leaders in the
wireless messaging market. Rob Euler, senior vice president of corporate
strategy and regulatory affairs for ARDIS, said, "With the reach of the
ARDIS network and MobileVision's direct connection to the LAN, business
users now have a wireless solution that leverages their existing messaging
investment."

Motorola's General Manager of its Wireless Data Group's Personal
Communicator Product organization, Rick Lane said, "Customers are looking
for advantages in mobile communications and computing - real solutions to
today's business problems. Motorola has worked closely with leading
software application developers such as CE Software to deliver total
communications solutions to our customers. The integrated, wireless
communications solution of the Marco Wireless Communicator, combined with
the convenience of MobileVision, makes wireless messaging a reality for
mobile business professionals."

Future Releases

Future versions of MobileVision will deliver access to other LAN-based mail
systems including cc:Mail and Microsoft Mail from additional wireless
platforms.CE Software will also provide wireless access from other
applications by utilizing a workgroup development platform called
TeamVision. TeamVision is an enabling technology that provides complete
interoperability across multiple platforms and applications.
