CAMPAIGN

new corporate marketing program to stimulate new product trial and build
increased awareness for its industry-leading customer satisfaction
position. The multi-faceted campaign, called the Claris Satisfaction
Promotion, will kick-off at the industry conference MacWorld Expo in
Boston, August 7-11.

The Claris Satisfaction Promotion is centered around the company's proven
customer satisfaction leadership, as underscored by DASAR International's
recent worldwide survey of more than 6,000 personal computer users.
Software products from Claris scored the highest customer satisfaction in
their categories. FileMaker Pro was ranked by customers as the best
database in the world, scoring particularly high marks as easiest to learn
to use, best overall value for price, and efficiency of technical support.
ClarisWorks integrated software and MacWrite Pro were named the two best
word processing products in the world, beating competitors in many
categories, including easy to learn to use, reliability, and accommodating
many skill levels.

CLARIS SATISFACTION PROGRAM ELEMENTS

To highlight its success and commitment to meeting customer needs, Claris
has designed a Claris Satisfaction logo to strengthen the identity and
provide a consistent theme across packaging, advertising and other
corporate communications vehicles. In addition, the company has developed
a trial software CD-ROM disk, entitled "Real Life Software," that will be
offered to customers visiting the Claris booth at major trade shows and
through direct mail, advertising and reseller demo days.

The "Real Life Software" CD was developed for Claris by Lightspeed
Interactive, the company that recently designed pop recording star
Madonna's interactive CD. With a custom musical score and engaging
animations, the CD features an innovative tour geared to home, business or
education customers. The path each user selects exposes them to usable
demonstrations of product solutions such as a home budgeter, a sales lead
tracking program, or a school calendar. A free home inventory system on
Claris FileMaker Pro is included and can be used independently without
purchasing any Claris products. Customers viewing the Satisfaction CD are
offered a $10 dollar rebate on the purchase of any Claris Macintosh or
Windows product : ClarisWorks, FileMaker Pro, Claris Organizer, Amazing
Animation, ClarisDraw, ClarisImpact, Claris Emailer and Easy Business
Cards.

As part of the company's new customer satisfaction program, Claris has also
extended its money-back guarantee from 30 days to 90 days effective June
1, 1995.
