Galacticomm, Inc. unveils 24 plug-in extensions for its Worldgroup online
service software

Ft. Lauderdale, FL -- June 23,1995 -- Galacticomm, Inc. announced today
that 24 new applications have been developed by Independent Software
Vendors (ISVs) as extensions for its Worldgroup client/server online
service software. These add-ons are detailed in a free catalog the company
is offering to interested callers.

"We're very excited about the net result of this collection of products:
basically, client/server extensions of every nature that can be linked
through the Internet or via regular dial-up modem or ISDN lines," says
Galacticomm President and CEO Scott Brinker. "And this is really just the
first wave of Worldgroup extensions. We're aware of a number of incredible
new products that are in the early development stages. With the openness
of Worldgroup's client/server platform, ISVs -- or an organization's own
staff -- can create these applications easily using our Client/Server
Developer's Kit with Visual Basic and Borland C++."

The Worldgroup extensions include two online shopping packages, complete
with JPEG photo support, enabling users to view a retailer's products
online. Credit card orders can be instantly processed while the user is
still online. A new document archiving database with support for Adobe
Acrobat files offers online publishers the ability to display complex
documents online in their original format.

A voice/image conferencing package adds a new and exciting dimension for
users. A user can speak in his own voice with other users of the program
all over the globe. The program also provides a distribution of the user's
photo to accompany his voice.

An xBASE compiler lets organizations design and implement relational
database applications, with photos and WAV sound files, to be accessed
online. Other applications include a paging application for integrating
personal pagers with Worldgroup, multiplayer games, utilities, and more.

Some of these products are still in final beta test, but all are expected
to be shipping by or before BBSCON, the online industry trade show slated
for August.

Worldgroup is client/server online service software that organizations can
use to launch their own online service from a desktop PC. The Worldgroup
server runs on a single DOS 486 or Pentium PC. It includes e-mail, group
discussion forums, file libraries, a registry of users, polls,
conferencing, and more. The freely distributable client runs on the user's
PC under Windows and offers a multimedia driven interface.
