GALACTICOMM OFFERS NEW PRICES FOR WORLDGROUP ONLINE INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE

Ft. Lauderdale, FL -- July 17 -- Galacticomm, Inc., a leading developer of
online system/workgroup software, announced major price cuts on its
Worldgroup product line. Worldgroup software enables organizations and
individuals to launch their own online services and Web sites on a single
desktop PC.

"Worldgroup is the most advanced client/server online environment
available, and now this modified pricing structure will enable a wider
audience to take advantage of its power," says Galacticomm President and
CEO Scott Brinker. "No other workgroup, Internet, or BBS product comes
close to the value and performance offered by Worldgroup."

Galacticomm replaced the two-user Worldgroup version ($795) with an
eight-user version that will list for only $595, with an estimated street
price of $395. Formerly, an eight-user version listed for $1190. User
Six-Packs, which expand the user count license by six simultaneous users,
have been reduced $100 from $395 to $295.

Worldgroup is client/server online software that can support well over 200
simultaneous users on a single DOS machine via modem, LAN and (optionally)
the Internet, X.25, and ISDN. The freely distributable client runs on the
user's PC under Windows and provides a multimedia graphical interface.
Worldgroup offers users e-mail, public message areas, polls, file
transfer, conferencing, and more.

The Worldgroup Client/Server Developer's Kit has been reduced $300 from a
list price of $695 to $395. This kit enables system operators and
Independent Software Vendors to create plug-and-play client/server add-ons
using Visual Basic on the client side and Borland C++ on the server. It
includes the Visual Basic and C source code to Worldgroup, along with a
full suite of developer documentation.

Existing customers who have purchased The Major BBS, Galacticomm's first
generation of online software, will be able to upgrade to Worldgroup (with
no change in user count) for $199 until November 30. New customers who
purchased the two-user version of Worldgroup will automatically receive a
free User Six-Pack with their free copy of Worldgroup 1.01, which will be
shipped in the mid-August time frame. All Worldgroup customers who
purchased Worldgroup Six-Packs at the old price will receive a $75 credit
for each Six-Pack purchased through discount dealers, or a $100 credit for
each one purchased directly from Galacticomm. This credit may only be used
through Galacticomm and will expire after December 31, 1995. A similar
credit will be offered to new owners of the Developer's Kit.

In addition, Galacticomm has reduced the prices on its Automatic Software
Update Program (ASUP), which entitles members to automatically receive all
new software updates to their Galacticomm products for a year. ASUP prices
have dropped from $599 to $395, and from $799 to $495 for international
customers.
