GRAPHIX ZONE REPORTS RECORD SALES OF BOB DYLAN CD-ROM

Product maintains consistent sell-through at retail stores and high ranking
on top seller charts

Over 70 000 units sold

IRVINE, Calif., July 20, 1995--Graphix Zone, Inc. (NASDAQ:GZON), an expert
on multimedia and a leading producer of CD-ROM music titles, today
announced that its latest music title, Bob Dylan: Highway 61 Interactive,
has sold over 70,000 units in the first 90 days of its release.

Strong international sales

Total sales continue to be split equally between domestic and international
distribution channels. The Dylan title is now distributed in over 30
countries. Outside of North America, sales are strongest in Germany,
Japan, the United Kingdom and Australia.

High sell-through

"Dylan sales have nearly eclipsed those of our (Prince) Interactive CD-ROM,
which is the best-selling interactive music CD-ROM in the world," said
Chuck Cortright, president and chief executive officer of Graphix Zone.
"The Dylan title is rapidly approaching that record and could easily
surpass it as we expect sales to grow beyond 100,000 units."

First to hit charts

The Dylan title is the first interactive music title to hit the "Top 10"
CDROM charts of Virgin Megastore, J&R Computer World, Video Store and
Multimedia Merchandising. "We climbed to number one on Virgin's chart and
number eight on Multimedia Merchandising," said Cortright. "This is the
first time that any music title has been on the same top 10 charts with
mega-hits like Doom and Myst."

High critical acclaim and awards

Bob Dylan: Highway 61 Interactive also garnered major critical acclaim and
was recently awarded the prestigious "Design Distinction in Interactive
Media" by I.D. Magazine. PC Magazine named the title in its Top 100 CDROMs
of 1995, Germany's PC Direct awarded an Editor's Choice, and Windows
Magazine made the title a Hot Pick.

Dylan fans are buying computers

The wealth of content on the CD-ROM is also driving Dylan fans to make
first-time multimedia computer purchases or to upgrade their current
systems to play more advanced CD-ROMs like the Dylan disc.

"Dylan fans are doing whatever it takes to get their hands on the rare and
unreleased material found on the disc," said Mick McCuistion, president of
Rolling Tomes and publisher of Dylan "fanzine" On the Tracks. "We got so
many calls that we decided to publish the system requirements in our
newsletter. Dylan fans are actually taking it to computer stores to make
sure they buy the correct upgrades."

Founded in 1989, Graphix Zone develops and markets interactive multimedia
products and services. In addition to being a producer and publisher of
CD-ROM titles, the company is also known for its Multimedia Production
division, which produces custom multimedia projects for leading domestic
and international corporate, government and institutional clients. The
company's New Media Group educates organizations and consumers on how to

and software.

Released in July 1994, the company's (Prince) Interactive CD-ROM won
several awards including Multimedia Worlds' Reader's Choice Award for Best
Interactive Music Title and, with over 75,000 units sold, is currently the
world record holder in interactive music CD-ROM sales. The company's first
title, The Guided Tour of Multimedia, has sold over 30,000 units to date.
It is the first tutorial to use interactive multimedia to teach multimedia
and continues to be bundled with the IDG best seller Multimedia For
