QUARTERDECK ADDS TWO CANADIAN INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS, HOOKUP and NSTN,
TO ITS LIST OF CONNECT AND PLAY SERVICE PROVIDERS

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 19, 1995--Quarterdeck Corporation, (Nasdaq:QDEK)
today announced it has added two major Canadian Internet service
providers, HookUp Communications of Oakville, Ont. and NSTN Inc. of
Dartmouth, N.S., to its growing list of key service providers that will be
available through Quarterdeck's Connect and Play feature of its
Quarterdeck Mosaic and Quarterdeck InternetSuite products, also announced
last week.

Quarterdeck expects to expand its Canadian network of Internet Connect and
Play partners to cover the entire country to facilitate easy, reliable
access to navigating the World Wide Web from most points in Canada.

Gaston Bastiaens, Quarterdeck president and chief executive officer, said,
