AT&T Business Network is first major business online service

September, 19, 1995 -- CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- AT&T today announced AT&T
Business Network, a new online resource that gives business owners,
managers and professionals easy, attractively priced access to the
business news and information they need, plus practical, hands-on
information and services to gain and sustain a competitive advantage. The
first AT&T-branded content service produced by the newly announced AT&T
New Media Services unit, AT&T Business Network will enter limited tests
within two weeks and will be generally available this Fall.

AT&T Business Network helps business professionals stay current on critical
industry and business news, access extensive reference information,
connect with an active community of peers, and take full advantage of the
full range of Internet-based business resources. AT&T Business Network is
hosted on AT&T Interchange Online Network(sm), a next- generation
publishing platform that hosts a collection of specialized online services
from independent publishers.

AT&T Business Network features a diverse set of information from leading
publishers in a wide array of industries. At launch, AT&T Business Network
will feature content from (in alphabetical order): Bunker Hill Consulting,
BNA, Inc. (The Bureau of National Affairs), Business Travel News, CCH
INCORPORATED, Cowles Business Media, Cowles New Media, Dow Jones &
Company, Dun & Bradstreet Information Services, Eisenstodt Associates,
Entrepreneurial EDGE, Entrepreneur Magazine Group, Seth Godin Productions,

Washington Editors, Inc., Nightly Business Report, Thomas Publishing
Company, TRW Business Information Services, TV HOST, Inc. and Weather
Services Corp. The service will also incorporate material from hundreds of
business-oriented services on the World Wide Web.

AT&T Business Network is primarily designed for individuals who run
emerging or home-based businesses as well as entrepreneurs, managers,
consultants and other self-reliant professionals. Research conducted by
AT&T shows that these professionals want and require access to more
flexible, desktop-based information services and tools that lend a
personal competitive edge in business, including easy access to the
Internet.

AT&T Business Network costs $39.95 per month for 10 hours of connect time,
plus $2.95 an hour for additional hours. Those who sign on to AT&T
Business Network before December 31, 1995, can take advantage of special
introductory pricing of $24.95 per month through June 30, 1996. The
monthly fee includes integrated links to the Internet and World Wide Web,
the Netscape Navigator software and electronic mail services. Additional

"When it comes to important business information, AT&T Business Network
cuts to the chase," said Michael E. Kolowich, president of AT&T New Media
Services. "Before today, business professionals going online to get
authoritative and complete business information had to patch it together
from many different sources. We've put the industry's top sources of
business information, plus related Internet resources, in one place for
busy business professionals -- accessible through a single online
connection and organized in a way that makes it easy to find the
information they need."

AT&T Business Network provides an extraordinary level of organization to
Internet business resources, integrating them throughout the product to
provide members with seamless, easy access to World Wide Web information.
"Web links" to related World Wide Web content are embedded throughout AT&T
Business Network, to supplement and enrich the service. When a member
clicks on a Web link, the Netscape Navigator software is automatically
launched, transporting the member directly to the specified Web site.
Members can then easily return to AT&T Business Network.

AT&T Business Network is the first online service to combine and deliver
business and financial news and information, productivity- enhancing
services, reference databases, and a next-generation online network that
includes integrated access to Internet resources. The service also
features an active, online community of business peers and experts. AT&T
Business Network saves members time and money by organizing information in
ways that make it easy for members to find what interests them. For
example, AT&T Business Network presents information in both industry and
professional/functional views, so no matter where users are in the
service, they'll find links to the information they need.

AT&T Business Network members can look up company information and credit
reports; get the latest state employment regulations; find sources of new
customers and skilled employees, plus methods for retaining them;
check-out home office tax deductions; stay current on
productivity-enhancing technology; learn about new franchising
opportunities; and discover techniques for controlling healthcare and
other costs.

"AT&T's business customers have learned to expect more from us than
high-quality telephone service at competitive prices," said Gail McGovern,
vice president and general manager of Business Services. "AT&T Business
Network is the latest in a broad series of programs that we offer managers
and professionals for the life of their business. Through a comprehensive
sales and marketing program, we will ensure that every one of our 10
million business customers learns about this exciting service."

Because AT&T Business Network is built on the AT&T Interchange platform,
business professionals will find it easy to find, organize and use
business information. The AT&T Interchange platform features rich
graphical presentation of information, powerful searching tools,
multitasking, automatic updating, an advanced discussion model that
encourages lively and productive discussions, and the ability to work
offline. AT&T Business Network members can create custom views of
information; perform automated, personalized searches; create an automatic
personalized clipping service; and use the service while disconnected from
the network. They can even set it to gather information while unattended.
Because the AT&T Interchange platform is multitasking, users are never
tied up with a single task.

AT&T Business Network members also receive access to Interchange Central,
an extensive collection of news, financial information, weather and other
general information and discussion areas about special interests, as well
as access to online Member Support and the Other Services area, where
members can learn about other services available on the AT&T Interchange
network.

At launch, AT&T Business Network will provide several charter advertising
opportunities for companies seeking to promote their products and services
to business owners and professionals. Advertisers will be able to purchase
links on major sections and within specific industry areas and have an
option to connect to their home page on the World Wide Web or to connect
to content created specifically for the AT&T Business Network. Advertising
links will be fully integrated into the information space and advertisers
will benefit from the advanced features of the AT&T Interchange platform,
including usage reporting.

System requirements for AT&T Business Network are an IBM personal computer
or compatible (80386 processor or above), the Windows 3.1 or Windows 95
operating system, 4 MB RAM (8 MB strongly recommended), 10 MB available
hard disk space, VGA display (or better), 9,600 bps modem (or higher) and
