ISLANDIA, N.Y., August 24, 1995--Computer Associates today announced that
its award-winning CA-Paradigm Problem Manager client/server application is
now available under the Microsoft Windows 95 operating system.

CA-Paradigm Problem Manager, which identifies and rapidly resolves problems
occurring within a distributed computing environment, was chosen in 1994
as one of 40 select participants in Microsoft's FirstWave developers
program for "Chicago." Geared toward medium-to-large help desks or service
centers, it supports leading relational databases such as CA-OpenIngres
and integrates with key network management platforms such as HP OpenView
and Solstice SunNet Manager.

problem management that thousands of enterprises worldwide have relied
upon to keep their client/server systems up and running," said Yogesh

CA-Paradigm Problem Manager automatically detects network problems,
coordinates response plans, notifies appropriate service staff, escalates
unresolved problems until they are fixed and monitors service level
agreements. It increases systems availability and frees valuable resources
for more proactive management tasks.

Pricing for the CA-Paradigm Problem Manager starter kit, which includes
four clients, a database interface and one administrative client, is
$17,500. Pricing for individual client licenses start at $795 each.
