CAPCOM'S DARKSTALKERS: THE NIGHT WARRIORS BRINGS COMBAT ACTION TO THE SONY
PLAYSTATION

Hot Arcade Action and Head-to-Head Combat Move to 32-Bit Market

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- September 1, 1995-- Attacking the Sony PlayStation
with killer characters who possess an arsenal of other-worldly moves,
Capcom Entertainment brings DarkStalkers: The Night Warriors straight from
the arcades to millions of home video game players this fall. Still a
favorite in its 1994 coin-operated format, DarkStalkers will be available
exclusively on the PlayStation, promising to deliver hard-hitting,
head-to-head combat action in one monstrous title.

DarkStalkers brings a unique and powerful twist to the art of one-on-one
arcade action. The game combines the same hot line-up of appealing monster
characters and level of challenge that has made Capcom the undisputed
leader in the fighting game category -- the most popular genre of video
games today.

"Capcom's DarkStalkers brings a cast of original monster challengers with
special moves for players to learn and master, while it maintains
fiercely-competitive action, finely-detailed graphics and unbeatable,
one-on-one combat," notes Greg Ballard, Capcom Entertainment's president.
"A highly-recognizable title, DarkStalkers will allow arcade enthusiasts
to enjoy the game's challenge and excitement right at home, exclusively on
their Sony PlayStation."

DarkStalkers, a one- or two-player title, introduces ten of the greatest
animated monster warriors from around the world, who've gathered together
to compete in the fight of their life. To reign as the ultimate Master of
the night, players must battle in a two-out-of-three round contest There
are a broad range of unique fighting characters to choose from, each
possessing his or her own unique fighting skills.

This compelling cast of monster world warriors includes the Vampire,
otherwise known as Demitri Maximoff, whose sharp skills include the
dreaded Chaos Flare; Jonathan Talbain, the English Werewolf who defends
himself by performing the infamous Beast Rush move; Victor von Gerdenheim,
the Frankenstein Monster, who was created by a mad German doctor, and is
known for knocking challengers out with his mighty Giga-hammer; the
Zombie, named Lord Raptor, an Australian hard rocker who jams on his
guitar after defeating his opponents with such awesome moves as the Fatal
Hurricane; Anakaris, the Mummy, once the greatest warrior in Egypt whose
Royal Judgment Day move will attempt to overthrow opponents; Bishamon, the
Samurai ghost warrior from Japan who must defend his honor with such moves
as the Storm Wind; Rikuo, a Brazilian Merman creature who is searching the
world for the last of his aquatic race, attacking all others with the
fierce Sonic Wave; and Sasquatch, the Canadian Snowman who ices his
opponents with the Big Snow if anyone dares to challenge him. The two
female warriors in the group include Felicia, the Cat Woman, an exotic
half-feline whose purr-fectly devastating move is known as the Sand
Splash; and the Succubus, Morrigan Aenslaed, a Scottish renegade who's
known to have an array of magical powers, including the Shadow Blade.

In addition to powerful characters, DarkStalkers offers several break
through features, including mid-air character blocking, the ability to
charge up special moves during battle, and an all new
combination system for executing moves. Also featured is a "success meter"
at the bottom of the game screen that will enable players to gauge their
performance and skill. This full range of
options has made DarkStalkers one of the hottest, most in-demand arcade
games in recent history, and is a natural cross-over hit for the home
market.

The game's success in electronic entertainment has spawned the creation of
an animated cartoon series for the syndicated market, which is loosely
based on the video game hit. The TV program, created by GRAZ
Entertainment, is scheduled to debut this Fall. This two-pronged
multimedia launch reflects Capcom's strength in a variety of different
entertainment venues for the mass market.
