CE SOFTWARE SHIPS QUICKMAIL 3.5

Customers Tout the Benefits of New Version's Features

West Des Moines, Iowa, September 6, 1995 - CE Software today shipped
QuickMail 3.5, adding a host of new features to the industry's standard in
MacOS messaging. Reports indicate high customer demand for the new version
of QuickMail.

Customers Praise Powerful Server and Client Features, and QuickMail Road
Map QuickMail 3.5 represents the initial release in a series of powerful
upgrades CE Software has planned for '95-'96. Designed with the network
administrator and the end user in mind, feedback from customers using the
beta version of QuickMail 3.5 is extremely positive.

Chris Gilbert, operations manager for ImageNet, a network systems
integrator for the design, installation and maintenance of custom
networking software, said, "QuickMail 3.5 is extremely robust, what's more
the QuickMail product road map represents a great deal of forethought on
the part of CE Software, and will enable QuickMail to port easily to
Copland (Apple's next major System release)."

Kenn Lowy, manager of desktop computers and networking for Maritime
Overseas Corporation, said, "We've found QuickMail 3.5's server
enhancements vital. Numerous Maritime employees travel extensively with
Powerbooks and in the past they were unable to access any of their filed
mail. But now, with the new CE Software Folder architecture in version 3.5
their folders can be stored on the server and easily accessed from any
remote location using Apple Remote Access."

QUICKMAIL 3.5 NOW INCLUDES:

SERVER-BASED MAILMANAGER, off loading mail management activities to the
server to automatically reply, forward, and delete messages without manual
intervention.

AMERICA ONLINE GATEWAY, delivering QuickMail users the ability to send and
receive messages via America Online directly from the QuickMail
interface.

DRAG AND DROP, enabling both Macintosh and Windows clients to file messages
in any mail folder and print, save, delete messages simply by dropping
them on QuickMail's graphical button-bar interface.

STYLIZED TEXT, allowing users to enhance any QuickMail message by varying
font, color, size and style attributes.

ENHANCED MAIL AUTHENTICATION TOOL (MAT) providing administrators greater
control over server space availability.

INTERNET SAMPLER PAK, providing users an Internet gateway full supporting a
maximum of ten QuickMail users.

QUICKCONFERENCE APPLICATION, a stand-alone, "real time" conferencing
utility that Macintosh users can keep active all day as a background
application without interruptions.

ENHANCED SECURITY, allows administrators to establish minimum password
lengths, mandatory alphanumeric passwords, even a password-aging
criteria.

NEW CE SOFTWARE FOLDER, removing the dependency on the Preferences folder
within the System.

FUTURE RELEASES

QuickMail 3.5 represents the first release in a series of many on the
QuickMail Product Road Map. Within the next twelve months CE Software
plans to ship QuickMail version 3.7 and version 4.0.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

QuickMail 3.5 will be available through CE Software's standard direct and
reseller distribution channels. For a limited time (until September 30,
1995), CE Software is offering an innovative Upgrade Subscription plan for
all QuickMail customers. Customers at version 3.0 can purchase an upgrade
subscription to QuickMail for just $6.25 per user and receive versions
3.5, 3.7, and 4.0. Those customers at version 2.6 can also purchase a
QuickMail Upgrade Subscription for just $14.25 and receive 3.0 features as
well as, 3.5, 3.7, and 4.0.

For those customers interested in only upgrading to version 3.5, CE
Software is offering other incentives. From now until September 15, 1995,
QuickMail customers can upgrade to version 3.5 and get version 3.7 for
free. QuickMail 3.0 customers will pay just $3 per user and customers at
version 2.6 or below will pay just $13 per user. QuickMail 3.5 is
available in one user paks for $199, 5 user paks for $449, 10 user paks
for $649, 25 user paks for $1,449, 50 user paks for $2,549, and 100 user
paks for $4,749.
