DIAMOND BUNDLES DOMARK'S ABSOLUTE ZERO COMBAT SIMULATOR WITH DIAMOND EDGE
3D MULTIMEDIA ACCELERATOR

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Sept. 18, 1995 -- Diamond Multimedia (NASDAQ: DIMD)
today announced an agreement with software developer Domark to bundle a
high-resolution Windows version of Absolute Zero, an intense science
fiction combat simulation game, with the new Diamond Edge 3D multimedia
accelerator for personal computers.

Diamond's new Edge 3D accelerator offers a more immersive PC gaming
experience by providing faster play, real-time, photo-realistic 3D and 2D
graphics, full motion video, concurrent hardware Wavetable audio, an
advanced digital gameport for precise joystick control and two video game
compatible connectors.

Diamond worked closely with Domark to create an enhanced Windows version of
Absolute Zero that would take advantage of the advanced technology of the
Diamond Edge 3D accelerator, including curved surfaces, full texture
mapping of objects, theater of war environments, gouraud shading providing
enhanced realism, perspective correction, and quick, high-fidelity
Wavetable audio.

"Absolute Zero 'flies' with Diamond's Edge 3D accelerator," said Ken Wirt,
vice president of marketing, Diamond Multimedia. "Diamond searched for
exciting software titles to bundle with its new 3D accelerator -- we're
extremely excited about offering gamers this enhanced version of Absolute
Zero in the package."

In Absolute Zero, aliens have erupted from the ice core of the player's
peaceful mining colony. To survive, the player must convert his mining
machinery -- hovercraft, maglocks, jet bikes and more -- into weapons
powerful enough to destroy the enemy. Players can choose to take on the
role of seven different characters, select from seven uniquely designed
sci-fi vehicles, and engage in 30 intense missions in three different
arenas of combat -- air, land and sub-terrainian. Absolute Zero showcases
Domark's acclaimed reputation for advanced artificial intelligence as the
gamer battles extremely smart extra-terrestrials.

"Diamond's Edge 3D accelerator card combined with Absolute Zero's
multi-arena gameplay, virtual cockpit and intense 2D and 3D graphics make
this bundle a hot buy for PC users looking for the ultimate gaming
experience," said Collin Boswell, Domark's technical director.

The Diamond Edge 3D accelerator, bundled with Absolute Zero, is available
in PCI with either DRAM or VRAM memory. Estimated retail prices start at
$249 - $299.
